Depending on the time of year, you might find pumpkins, chives, potatoes, 2 types of melons, green peppers, cabbage, tomatoes, and hot peppers in our garden. All high-end finishes including granite, stainless steel, natural cypress finishes, beautiful European tile inside and out, and unparalleled views which include the historic capital of Cupid's Cay. Excellent snorkeling, fishing and cliff jumping right at the waterfront and two outdoor showers. Some features include a Weber propane barbeque, propane stove, Wii for kids (and adults!) 3 kayaks, a SUP, beachware including floats, beach chairs and much more! A private work area with a desk and office chair and high speed internet/WIFI make it ideal for a Flex-cation for anyone that needs to work remotely from the island. Home has city water with backup reserve tank for when the water plant cuts off water (happens often). Also a generator for any longer power outages which is another frequent occurrence on the island. You will be hard pressed to find a better located home with so many amenities on the island. The Friday night Fish fry, 1648 restaurant and French Leaves marina, Sky Beach club, all top restaurants, and some of the islands best beaches on both the Atlantic and Caribbean sides of the island just minutes away. Home is located on a private cul-de-sac on the Caribbean in "Lover's Hill" a peaceful authentic Bahamian neighborhood. Waterfront has many beautiful coral reefs for snorkeling (2 snorkeling sets are provided), great fishing and easy cliff jumping (at your own risk).

CRIME AND SAFETY CLARIFICATION; ***As you may have read the USA put out a safety advisory on travel to the Bahamas. Please know that is ONLY for the two heavily populated large islands; New Providence and Grand Bahama. It is NOT for our island which is extremely safe with zero violent crime against tourists. It is similar to thinking the entire state of Michigan is dangerous because parts of the city of Detroit are dangerous. You can book your stay knowing you will be in a safe area on a safe island even for single women travelers. GENERAL INFORMATION; ***We charge only one fee which is a low flat $125 cleaning fee, so there are no surprises when you go to pay for your booking. We not only host, but travel often with VRBO/HomeAway and know how annoying it can be to see one rate during your search and then get slammed with add on fees when you go to pay. The only other fee you will see is guest fee VRBO/HomeAway charges for each booking and they keep that. We also offer 5% off weekly stays and a HUGE 20% discount off monthly stays which is automatically built into the pricing. ***We have an extensive page Trip Planner document that gives tips on everything from; SUV rentals and flight information to the best restaurants, beaches, tours and everything in between. Most guests find that document to be invaluable and it saves them a lot of money. ***We have a great SUV rental guy who gives all of our guests $50 off their rental. We also have the best tour/fishing guide in the Bahamas. He specializes in the swimming pigs, all sorts of fishing and spearfishing trips, lobstering, sea turtles, sand bars, rope swings, etc. He also gives our guests $50 off a half day trip and $100 off a full day trip. We have been using both guys exclusively since since 2016. The owner of the property also can rent kayaks and snorkel gear and stuff like that for you. Lastly our caretaker provides each guest with a savings card with island discounts and coupons. ***We take all of our own photographs and each photo has a very detailed caption so you exactly what you are looking at and where it is located. Some hosts post a stunning beach for example, but fail to write in the description that it's a 45 minute drive from their property. We don't do that. ***Bahamian owned - So the cool thing is that your funds go right into the local economy, not in the pockets of a foreign investor. Eleuthera is generally a fairly poor island and that is a BIG deal for their economy. ***Please note we do not accept any pets, emotional, support or therapy animals due to extreme allergies/health related issues in our family. WHO WE ARE AS HOSTS; We have been VRBO/HomeAway Premier Hosts since 2016 with over 20 properties and many thousands of reviews online averaging 4.95 stars average out of 5.0 stars. We always respond to any guests concerns immediately and have a well seasoned staff in every location. For example this cottage, the Bahamian owner lives locally so if you need anything they are right there. We have thousands of reviews online. PROPERTY OVERVIEW; There are 3 villas at this property so if your dates are not available please ask us and we can direct you to the two other villas or one of our other many properties we have on the island. The entire property compound is fenced and private with lovely grassy area along with many palm trees and flowering shrubs. Each villa is identical with 2BR and 2 Bathrooms, a full kitchen, dining area, living room and 3 separate outdoor decks. All villas have their own private space and BBQ gril. The pool area and hot tub, elevated sundeck and gas firepit and exterior dining table are shared spaces. The hot tub is obviously heated and the pool is not heated. There is lots of deck furniture around the pool and up in the sundeck area. There is an outdoor shower by the pool. There is a laundry room with a washer and dryer on the property grounds as well and is free to use for each guest. The reality is most of our guests end up hanging out at our property and especially at our beach after they have explored the island for their first few days. They realize having a pool and hot tub is a great asset and there is no nicer beach on the island than Airport Beach. Also A quirky, but really cool thing if you love nature, is we have a resident Yellow Crested Night Heron that lives at our property and is always hanging around the pool (see our photos). YOUR VILLA; Each Villa has excellent mini split Air Conditioners in each room, FREE Wi-Fi, a phone to make FREE local calls, large Smart TV equipped with cable and FREE parking at the property. All villas are equipped with 2 bedrooms with a queen bed in each and also the sectional couch in each villa serves as another area for 2 people to sleep if you have 6 people in total. With 4 people each couple has their own bedroom and their own bathroom. There are 2 full bathrooms with walk-in showers with large ceiling rain shower heads, a large well stocked full kitchen with a dining table and chairs. The kitchen has a full size fridge, electric range/oven, microwave, large sink, blender, toaster, Melitta coffee maker, Imusa Expresso and Cappuccino maker, lots of pots and pans and kitchen gadgets to cook fulltime if you desire. There is closet and storage space in each Villa. Each villa comes with 3 private decks attached to your individual villa off each bedroom and the main entry living area. There are hardwood floors and vaulted ceilings as well. You will also have your own gas grill with FREE propane to use during your stay to grill all that seafood you catch with our boat captain! Each villa is exactly identical to the others so there is no difference between villa 1-2-3. Enjoy incredible sunrises and sunsets from the decks and views of both Caribbean Sea to the west and the Atlantic Ocean to the east. The setting is very relaxing and the perfect place for mental health, stress relief and to unwind. Safety is something many guests ask about and our location is extremely safe and our property is well lit and we have never had a single crime issue. Eleuthera is generally a very safe island not be confused with other non-safe Bahamian islands such as Nassau. PLEASE NOTE; The villas are identical, however the one you are renting may have slightly different decor on the walls or different colored bedding as shown in the photos, etc. OUR LOCATION; The Landing Villas is located about 7 miles north of Governor’s Harbor the island's capital. Remember Eleuthera is long thin island being 110 miles top to bottom and only half a mile wide. So if you pick the wrong destination to stay, be prepared for a lot of driving on some bad roads coupled with gas prices being double as back home! We are in a superb central location for exploring both to the north and to the south of the island and we are very close to the island's best attractions. See our map in the photo section. Airport Beach, one of the nicest beaches on the island (and in the world) is right at the end of our dirt road which is a 1 minute drive or a 5 minute walk. You can literally walk for miles in either direction along the beach and enjoy some of the best snorkeling on the entire island with the coral formations just offshore. There are many beaches, bars, restaurants, coffee shops, liquor stores, food stores, banks, island attractions and gas stations all within 3 – 15 minutes away heading north and south. Eleuthera is a sleepy island with some flaws; bad roads, dated infrastructure, more frequent than back home power / water / internet outages, geckos sometimes will be in a home and painfully slow service at certain places. We say this because every year we get a guest that complains about the island and that is clearly the case of a guest going to the wrong destination for their vacation. Eleuthera is not a 5 star resort island where fake people wait on you hand and foot just for a big tip. In Eleuthera people are genuine, helpful and kind. The crime is very low unlike the rest of the Caribbean. It is unspoiled and gorgeous and mostly empty going back back 75 years in time. We know it well and have been there over 100 times and have many long-term Bahamian relationships. You will explore the most stunning beaches you have ever seen and have them usually all to yourself. We love what it has to offer, but we are not the Miami Beach or Las Vegas type of the traveler either.
