The staff here is amazing. I have worked in hotels for eight years, and I've never met a more pleasant staff. Very eager to help. The night auditor who used to be a chef was very helpful in giving me ideas on places to go. Miss Moreno was very helpful extending my stay. But the award for best staff member goes to Fatima, who was very cheerful to talk to and very helpful in getting me through check in. She's definitely a winner. The bed sheets were a little dirty at check-in with what appeared to be some type of small plastic pieces that flaked off of something and onto to the bed. Housekeeping also knocked on the door several times in the morning despite do not disturb sign on the door and privacy button turned on the door. Gym was also underwhelming. But these are minor issues.
The hotel was nice and we'll appointed but, I had reserved a double occupancy room with two queen beds. I was given a room with two double beds and handicap accessible bathroom. This meant the bathroom was modified, making it larger and the living area smaller which was not beneficial to me and my family. The water was only barely warm for bathing which was very disappointing. No hot water for a shower in the morning! We had friends who stayed a couple of miles from us at another hotel chain for the same price. Their room was larger, they had a heated indoor pool, and a full continental breakfast with waffle bar was included.
The air conditioner was easy to find and work. I loved th free tea and coffee set with easy-to-use tea/coffee maker. Pillows were wonderfully very plush soft. The staff were very friendly and thoughtful. When the air conditioner would automatically turn on cold air, a loud buzzing noise would turn start but it only lasted 10 secnds. I still got a great sleep due to the comfy extremely soft pillows.
Desk employee was helpful. Got me in quick. Room was just ok. Non smoking but smelled like it had been smoked in. Average conditions for a well used hotel.
My check-in process was quick and easy. The staff at the reception desk was so, so friendly. She made me happy to be there before I had even seen the rest of the hotel, including my room! I would have preferred if the pool and fitness area had been open past 10pm. We arrived kind of late and only stayed one night and as a result of the pool closing at 10pm my kids didn't get to go swimming the night we got there.
when your trip is 7.5 miles from the airport to the hotel and it takes you 51.7 miles to arrive with the direction of the hotel staff, and during rush hour on Friday. So I would like to know how you think I feel? The manager thought it was not a big deal.
My family and I were in the process of closing on a new house but didn't close in time. Had to get a hotel. We booked the La Quinta in Kingwood (as that is where our new house is). I was pleasantly suprised. The rooms are very clean, spacious and smell good. They have all been updated and modernized with big flat screen tvs. The staff is so friendly and fantastic. They truly go above and beyond there. You can tell the owner takes great pride in his hotel. They have a small playground out back for kids and the indoor pool is very clean. They have a very nice hot complimentary breakfast. I definitely recommend this hotel and I know that when we have out of town guests visit, I will put them up here. Thank you to all the wonderful people who work there! You made a very stressful situation for us SO much better.
