The beachfront location is beautiful. The grounds are very green and well kept. The pools are gorgeous. The staff is extemely friendly and very service oriented. They were always there to serve with a smile on their faces. There is a lot between the "ocean front" rooms and the ocean. We had a view of the BIG palapa over the pool bar and a little bit of ocean view on the side. Because we were right over the pool bar, there was a lot of noise as people hung out and drank at the pool all day. I would recommned a room away from the pool... however because the pool bar closed at 6 pm, the noise died down after that.
Service was excellent! Electrics issues with spotty power on last day prompted us to check out early. Food was decent but wish there were more space at the specialty restaurants.
We were there to celebrate our anniversary. The room was nicely set up with champagne, fruit, etc. Several food options. Friendly staff. Enjoyed the swim-up bar. Very comfortable "bed-style" lounges on the beach. The pool closes ridiculously early (6pm). Although the ones you were able to find were friendly, there was not a lot of staff around. It seems that unless you're in the Excellence Club (which costs more) you don't have anyone to help you with a beach chair or to take orders while you're on the beach. Had to set up our own pool and beach lounges, had to go into a room to get towel myself, etc. The facilities are a little shabby/worn. For example, the jacuzzi tub in our room appears to be pretty old.
This is one of the best resorts that I've ever been to. It was gorgeous, clean, and the staff was amazing. We already talked about returning next year.
Outpouring friendly staff. Large, clean and comfortable rooms. Variety and quality of food. Check-in and check-out process. Cleanliness of resort particularly the beach and pool areas. Lack in variety of nightly main evening entertainment. Lack of on-site beachfront water activities. Constant strong surf.
Beautiful resort and grounds. We had a swim out unit that was wonderful so we were right next to the pool. The staff was very helpful. The beds were very comfortable. I liked the beds because they did not have a pillow top. The restaurants were very good and you have lots of choices. We came to relax and that was what we did. One time my husband went to pick up his towel from his chair and take it back and the employee told him that was his job to put the towel in the laundry and my husband was on vacation and to enjoy it. We were very happy with our accommodations. They have activities if you chose to participate. The pool is like a long lagoon and the rooms surround it. We chose to be in the Excellence Club and felt it was worth the money. We were in Building 7 which was close to the restaurants, main lobby and pool so we liked the location. The sand on the beach is hard to walk on and your feet sink in. It is very fine sand and not packed down. The entertainment is good but not great but that is not what we came for. You have to reserve your pool chair early in the morning and some people would put towels down and never come the entire day. I think the staff should monitor that.
Great service. Beautiful accommodations and grounds. Beach was long, clean and deep, with plenty of chairs. Pool also had many chairs. Food was very good. We've been to other AI in PC and this is still the best. Absolutely nothing
Absolutely beautiful! The main pool was huge so there was so much space. The beach went on for miles and miles. They need a dehumidifier for some of the rooms.
The place was a higher quality than most of the resorts in Punta Cana but only slightly higher cost. It was clean, food seemed a little better and staff was friendly. As far as the all inclusive part, they could have more activities. Also I always hate dressing up in long pants and long sleeve shirt when it's 95° out (we were even told for one restaurant we needed a coat so we skipped it). For casual dining food is very limited. My biggest complaint is the beds flat out hurt. They room was beautiful but I couldnt get a good night sleep because the bed left my back in pain.
I went with three other people. We were greeted wonderfully. The person at the reception desk was courteous, professional and friendly. My boyfriend and I had reserved a one bedroom suite as well as my friend and her boyfriend. We each received a two-bedroom suite. It was beautifully decorated and arranged. However, we were expecting them to include the exact same things since we did make the same reservations and we received the same suite type. My suite included a waffle maker and their room did not. They had A POT, My suite did not. My friends master bathroom's toilet was clogged. She called reception and they sent someone to fix it right away which is great, however that is not something anyone should have to deal with on my vacation. There was no tub in the master suite which is fine because we prefer showers. The shower had glass doors that didn't really close. when showering, a lot of the water would end up outside the shower so the floor was constantly wet. The bathrooms from both suites was missing the hand and face towels and when we asked, we were told they weren't available at that moment. Since we booked two separate rooms, we would constantly call each other through the resort phone in order, for example, to meet up in the morning for breakfast, etc. There was only one phone and it was located in the dining area. It was inconvenient especially during the mornings to have to get up from bed and walk out of the room to another area of the suite to answer the phone, one of those phone calls coming from reception. My friends suite was also missing an ironing board, My suite had it. When I did my research on the resort, it stated Wi-Fi was included. This is not the case. Yes there was free Wi-Fi in the common areas but the suite’s Wi-Fi had to be paid for. The resorts information should’ve stated ‘Limited Wi-Fi’ or ‘Free Wi-Fi in common areas’. On our first day we were exploring the hotel and unbeknownst to us, we walked into the area where guests are signed up for the VIP membership. We were treated rudely by one of the managers. With an attitude, he said that it was the VIP area and just looked at us, expecting for us to "get the hint" and leave. One bad experience like that pretty much dissuades a person from not only becoming a member but to never visit the resort again. The buffet food wasn't all too bad, it just needed more of a selection. There were two restaurants where we made reservations, Sushi and Italian. The Sushi restaurant was located in its own small place, the Italian was not. It was located in an area belonging to the buffet, which I felt was not very "exclusive". Being a "Boutique" resort, I imagined more attention to detail and better attitudes towards guests. ONLY GOOD THING ABOUT THIS TRIP WAS THAT IS IN BEAUTIFUL PUNTA CANAA BARTENDERS AND WAITERS WERE AMAZING *LIMITED FREE WIFI (ONLY IN THE LOBBY AND BEACH AREA NOT IN THE ROOMS ) *IF YOU'RE NOT VIP 1 BEACH BAR *LOOK OUT FOR NASTY MANAGEMENT THAT WOULD GIVE U A BAD LOOK AND NASTY ATTITUDE IF NOT A VIP MEMBER
