We can't recommend the hote highly enough. We visit a couple of times each year and it just keeps getting better- amazing service for all guests. Great Food, facilities but staff who treat everyone like royalty.
Our visit was in January so I could not understand why our room was so damp. We would literally wake up wet b/c of the extreme dampness in the room. We don't know if that is a characteristic of the hotel or just our room. We would have complained but didn't get around to it. After the first night, we thought it was because we had the air conditioning too low, but after the 2nd night we knew something was seriously wrong but then it was too late in that we were checking out. Simply inexcusable for a room supposedly of this star rating and nightly cost.
We stayed at Taj Bengal for two nights in January 2010 with our two grand daughters aged 3 and 5. It is an oasis of peace and quiet although a little pricy. Service is excellent. Our grand kids enjoyed the pool and the garden. They were happy to fiind their familiar food such as pizza and grilled cheese sandwitch. For adults, the room service menu is excellent and the restaurant serving indian food is worth a visit. If you hve time visit the zoo which is just across the road. Take care crossing the road.
Very good hotel, well located close to the city centre, efficient staff and good service, good cuisine as well
Location I asked staff to estimate taxi costs to various venues, there were always less than half of what the actual costs were.
The location is great and also the staff. But the hotel is now going through some rennovation. So bothered me and my friends a lot. Otherwise we liked this hotel.
nothing significant interior very old and not cozy
