beautiful location, the beach and pool, the view from the rooms, the restaurants, the staff and the manager were very nice, the meals. I returned to the hotel for extra 2 more nights.
Close to the airport. Our room was filthy. There had been dirty water spilled on the floor and it wasn't cleaned up. Dust balls all along the walls. My feet were black from walking on the bare floor and carpet. The restaurant limited hours & menu choices.
Convenient location, good price for St. Thomas, VI.
I liked it it was close to the airport inconvenient for us to catch a flight no elevator to the second floor
I liked where it was situated overlooking the bay. The location however required a cab everywhere you needed to go except to Emerald Bay Resort. Rooms were small but adequate. Bed was comfortable. This was a good basic room, no real amenities though. **No elevator **Understaffed at desk **Restaurant was decent but understaffed at all times we visited **Water in shower had no pressure/cold **Our room was only cleaned once during 4 days **No real amenities except Wifi/coffeemaker
We stayed there for the proximity to the airport which was fantastic (5 minute walk to the terminal). It overlooks a beautiful bay but keep your sights low so as not to see the electric plant across the way. Overall met our expectations and needs. I'm thinking this hotel is used as a stop for the airport therefore there is a lot of turnover which caused a bottleneck in checking in because the staff needs to turn over a bunch of rooms. If you're patient then the proximity to the airport is worth it.
Cleanliness Availability of basic toiletries(toothbrush and toothpaste) and no food on property site
I loved everything about them the staff was super friendly the view was breathtaking i would definitely go back. the villa was so comfortable very close to the airport and loved the free shuttle to emerald beach which was gorgeous.
I liked the hotel itself. It was in a good location and close to the airport which made it convenient. I wish they would have had a lunch menu or had the bar open a little earlier. The housekeepers were awesome and helfpul! We did not like some of the front desk assistants. They were not very friendly or helpful when needed. It was almost like we were bothering them when we had a question or when we asked for toilet paper (received none). Not very concerned with our needs.
Comfortable Bed & Great View! tv reception was horrible, shower pressure wasn't good, on the first day the toilet didn't flush good, planes were noisy since it was next to the airport
Location to airport Room was dirty hotel restaurant service was horrible rude and slow
LOCATION WAS GOOD, PROXIMITY TO AIRPORT WAS GOOD. RESTURANT WAS EXTREMELY OVERPRICED AND NO OTHER OPTIONS COMMUNICATED, I.E. LOCAL EATERIES OR FOOD DELIVERY OPTIONS. IT RAINED WHILE WE WERE THERE AND OUR ROOM FLOODED. NO EFFORT WAS MADE TO REACCOMODATE US, ONLY TOWELS TO DRY THE FLOOR AND A FAN
Nothing. We felt very unsafe here. The staff also went out of their way to make our stay horrible. we left some things to dry on the patio overnight. That night someone came on our patio and stole our things. When we told the front office, they said 'Sorry, it is a public beach. You should not leave things out.' WHAT!!!! It's a public beach!!!!
We came for the beach and view. Both are a ten. You can overlook a lot when you have this fantastic location. Management needs to be aware that everyday is a challenge to receive a complete set of towels. Having extra bath towels because they are out of hand towels or wash clothes doesn't quite work.
The Only positive we could say is the pool was beautiful and well kept. Our room that we paid extra for was not up to par and the shower didn't work they moved us three times to get a room with working shower. The staff wasn't apologetic. The good at hotel restaurant was disappointing. We were disappointed.
The location and proximity to the beach and ocean. We were right on the beach. Too many mosquitoes in the room. Had to go to the store and buy bug spray for the room. Hotel staff daily did not provide enough washcloths/towels. Had to ask for/get these items ourselves and they were stingy about providing. Minimal cleaning effort.
Great location, Awesome view from the balcony. Dinner was great. I had to pay for the room again because they couldn't see my payment. Now I have two charges on my card. The bed in the room was two full size bed.I was looking for a queen or definitely a king. Dinner was great but the service was very slow
Closeness to airport Yes, Mosquitos were rampant. They needed to spray. One maintaiinance person sprayed an area with a can. They needed more
The location tobtheaieport and also the ocean bow rooms. The long wait for the room to be ready. We waited about 2 hours for my family to get their room. Also the hotel should be equipped with an elevator or handicapp access.
Right on the beach! Room Right on the beach! A very calm area few people on the beach or at the pool...just how we like it except Wed. when cruise ships are in town. pool was closed for repair for 3 days but otherwise Awesome!
It felt like the resort was empty but they said they were full. Beach was beautiful and the pool was great. Private cabanas and just a great atmosphere. Water was crystal clear and the view was spectacular. Honestly everything was great.
View of beach from hotel balcony was beautiful.Beach bar staff was amazing great genuine people. Locals are great very friendly.. And views of everywhere we went was stunning..activity director was amazing as we Staff in restaurant are either hit or miss. There was one girl who literally ignored us all 9 days we were there and basically took her sweet time when asked for the simplest things and just looked miserable. She was the only thing I could complain about.
The beach, pool, bar, and concierge.
The location is great. It's close to the airport and the hotel is steps from the beach. I would have liked an ATM onsite.
Swimming pools are great with the view of the sunset. They have 5 restaurants and not a great selection on the menu and very pricey. You need a car if you're going to stay at that the Frenchman's reef. Average price for a taxi was anywhere from $8 to $14. Luggage is $4 a piece.
Staff was disinterested in providing good service.
Activities included in the resort fee for adults and children are excellent. Water aerobics, trivia games, yoga classes, parrot show, etc. Food prices on the property are pretty high given the average quality. The standout is Havana Blue which is on the reef side and privately operated --- the food there is excellent!
After a long day of travel it was nice to pull into a resort that was all inclusive. There was no need to leave the premises There were some signs of deferred maintenance
The restaurant was excellent. View of the harbor from every seat of this open air place. Even at the bar: the bartender's area was sunken to allow for better views. We were there at dusk, and watched as the daylight view of sailboats and a cruise ship turned into a sea of twinkling lights. Staff very friendly and helpful. One of the best Sunday brunches I've ever had. Easy taxi ride from airport and to ferry. Since it is on a mountainside, there are a lot of stone steps to negotiate. No elevators, which makes it difficult if you have a lot of luggage, as we did. We only stayed one night, but I would have rented a car if we were staying longer, as it is too far to walk to town. Bedroom was small but comfortable. I would have preferred one with a view. Pool was small, and in view from the bar.
The view and sea breeze were wonderful and service and accommodation was great
a great deal and a friemdly staff nothing
Resort was pretty Service was the worst ever. They ran out of liquor the ran out of steak knives They ran out of milk. The did not bring coffee cups when bringing a pot of coffee from room service They ran out of beach towels by 11am every day. The beach was not really a beach... you needed water shoes to even get in the water and loads of sea urchins. Pool closed at seven every night Not much for entertainment. Very hard to get off resort unless you wanted to pay 50 buck a couple to go anywhere.
Liked the view from our waterfront room, convenience of all inclusive, and the staff was good, but it being off season, seemed to be sometimes a bit short on availability. The food quality was very average. If you are used to eating out above a standard sit down chain (ruby tuesday's, applebees, fridays) you are not going to be impressed with the dinners. Lunch was generally pretty good with some fresh fish, and sometimes cold shell fish. Breakfast was decent, but i have definitley seen better spreads (i get the impression again this was off season, so not their best). The room was very nice, but there were bathrooms in the pool area and other areas that you just felt like they needed refreshed (rust stained urinals, and non working hot water in the mens room, and rusty light fixtures)
