My husband and I stayed at this hotel resort for 2 nights, 3 days - July 2009. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere of this hotel was wonderful. Beautiful location and setting. The lagoon access room we reserved was wonderful. One of 3 infinity pools was right off of our balcony - perfect! Room was well stocked, clean and comfortable - definitely 5 star. The outdoor facilities (swimming pools, pool side service, water sports) were great! Many complimentary water sports to take part in - water aerobic class, kayaking and snorkelling to name a few . The sea was a bit rough the first and third day but the water temps were perfect! Gardens were in immaculate shape! While at the beach free towels were offered to use and also a small cooler with water, mister and cold facecloths! However not all the restaurants were open and the ones that were open were not all that exceptional which is what you would expect from a 5 star hotel which is as expensive as the Al Bustan.. T...
I stayed in this hotel in August 2012. It was the hot off season for Muscat, so the hotel gave me an excepionally low rate. This was the best deal I have revieved from a Ritz Carleton ever. Great pool and beach area. Hotel lobby very nice. However, the food was only average.
Besuch hier.
hotel design and layout is great, specially the pool side. Very inmature staff and inexperienced, the check in took us 2 hours and we had to change all room categories in order to get connecting rooms despite my request earlier. My credit card was charged three times (by mistake!) so i ended up paying triple the amount
The shower in the room, most standard room in most five star hotel don't have separate shower that's one thing the other thing is restaurant with the swimming pool togethere, I've been some of the five star hotels and some of them only have bars along the pool area and the kitchen is in side the hotel, especially in big cities. Yes, I don't like the room because no kettle to make tea or coffee, no hair dryer.
Muscat is a low-key location. It's ideal for a relaxing break if you don't want to spend a lot of time touring sights and shopping. The hotel staff were always friendly. We booked a club room to take advantage of the lounge facilities. The complimenary breakfast was simple but adequate, while evening canapes were poor and not worth the room price. I also got severe dysentry from the Christmas Day buffet so staff hygiene is clearly a concern. Our biggest frustration was effort to get our bill after each meal. It took repeated requests and >15 mins every time.
The breackfast buffet didn't have as many choices as other 5 star hotels I have been to.
Relaxation, good spa, excellent gym, very good dining lack of private beach
Club Room offered excellent value for money and staff were very helpful and efficient
health club price
the L.tea lounge and the bar the location of my room was on the top of ball room, and was noisy at night.
The relaxing atmosphere & the nice beach To start with, the hotel ended up charging me 150 omani rials extra upon checking out. I did tell them about it 4 days ago & they still have not resolved it. Your beach is easily & frequently accessed by construction workers who walk along the beach during their lunch breaks. I do not believe this is acceptable & makes your guests uncomfortable especially the ladies. The hotel was way too expensive for the services offered. For that price I could get into a more luxurious hotel in Dubai where I live.
The Hotel is very relaxng, well laid out and is enjoyable to stay at.
