Very efficient operational system: Check in with friendly staff, pay with vending machine in advance (avoiding having to wait in line to check out and pay later.)
Room is sizable for Japan. Clean and newly decorated. Basic, but has everything you need.
Excellent location. Within a 5 min walk to train station. Very close to supermarket.
Best point: Has 24/7 diner right at the ground level. Food is not gourmet but not bad (like Denny's).
Plus, it's very reasonably priced. (I paid $70 US a night in April.)
This hotel is the best hidden gem in Matsumoto. I actually prefer it way more than Buena Vista, which is supposed to be the most "luxurious" business hotel in town.
No gym, but neither does Buena Vista.
