Spacious rooms. Having a mini kitchen is great because food is very expensive on property so it is helpful to be able to make breakfast in the room. Gives a bit of space from the craziness of the water park on property but close enough that it is convenient to walk there. Nice, well appointed bathroom. Good sized covered terrace.
The Reef is skimping on the extra touches that a very expensive resort should have. For example, no paper was delivered to the room each morning. Also, you had to get the activities sheet for the day from the front desk where at most high end resorts, it is also put underneath your door each morning. Service was slow when there was a problem, for example, our TV kept freezing and it took two phone calls to get someone to fix it.
But the worst problem is the Wi-Fi. They charge over $20 per day to use and it is not dependable. It keeps dropping off your device and you have to reconnect and the signal is weak.
