Stayed at Wingate for 5 nights due to function in the city. Booked on line so price target was good. Very clean hotel, large room, friendly staff, even when there was a bit of a mix-up at check out. Our room over looked a busy street, so was happy we had packed a set of ear-plugs.We had early morning starts, so having a hot breakfast in hotel was a nice touch, Thank You Wingate for a lovely stay, will be staying with you again this fall for another convention in the city.
Slow elevators Reservation and billing system is bureucratic and inacurate
Rooms were clean . Parking lot is very small for having 7 floors of room. Many people had to park on the street. Our coffee maker didnt work in the room and had to call front desk. Only had 1 person on all night on a Friday and it was busy and we were in line for a long time to check in. Gym facility equipment , only 2 out of the 6 things worked. The restaurant "memories dining" Decided to close that morning for renovations ( on a Saturday ) so we couldn't have breakfast ( yet it was open the night before )- beds in both queen and King room were extremely hard- we did not sleep/
The location of this Hotel was perfect for our purpose in the city. We were there for a wedding, and we were close to both the Ceremony spot and the Reception spot. I would not say I had any "complaints" but I was not overly impressed with this Hotel either. It was definately nothing to write home about.
There were three pillows per bed. Staff was friendly and courteous. Nice to see security guys in and outside of the hotel. The room across from ours had a lot of foot traffic, in and out of their room, loud talking, swearing, doors banging shut every 5-10 minutes from 10:30pm to 1:30 am. I was very tired after a 9 hour drive, was able to sleep for 4 hours, went to a confrence, then drove in the evening for another 4 hours. I was very tired through this whole experience, so I wasn't able to enjoy the confrence I attended. And at 5:30 am the morning alarm went off next door and woke us up. Also, when I sat down on the toilet to relieve myself, I nearly fell off !! The toilet was tilted. It looked like someone heavy had sat on it and the tiles on one side of the toilet were broken and it was sinking into the floor on the one side...scary!
friendly needs updating , carpeting/sink-caulking/pillows.
Location and very nice staff. Excellent food in restaurant and liked someone was at pool supervising. Paying for parking. This was not on the website or mentioned when booking.
location no fridge or microwave in room
The service in the dining oom The rooms are in dire need of upgrading and a good thorough cleaning. Very noisy, great deal of traffic. Noise from the hallways easily heard. Our first room had a broken thermostat and the maintenance man suggested opening the balcony window to cool off the room, it was -33 in Regina this weekend.
Location is convenient to down town shopping. I had originally reserved a room 3 weeks in advance booking a room with a king bed and a hide a bed. However, when I got there I had a very small room with one queen bed. I phoned down to the desk, but they told me they didn't have any superior rooms for me to change too. I was there on business and had to take a room on the 9th floor. I was very disappointed in the service. Also, the ice machine wasn't on my floor, and when I went to the 7th floor for ice the ice machine was broken. I was going up and down in the elevator to find an ice machine that worked. Next time I'm in the city for business I think I will book a room somewhere else.
Friendly staff , Starbuck Coffee , restaurant on premises , clean Hotel but a little bit old , free parking . Some vagrants hanging outside the hotel made me worry a little bit but no break in the vehicle .
