The staff is incredible! They are always great and friendly and helpful. I have stayed there lots of times before. It continues to be a good experience. They really need to rethink their restaurant menu. Way too gourmet and I think people want traditional items for dinner. There is a steak place called Hamiltons three blocks from the hotel that has great food and they offer a nice choice of steaks, seafood and also burgers and salads. The hotel used to have delicious Italian food. Guests at the hotel don't want to have to leave at night because they can't find decent entrees on the menu. So that my only negative comment. My family all agree.
Everyone was very friendly and helpful and the accommodations were great. A bit pricey, but still a decent value.
The maid was very friendly. This was a poor attempt to be a luxury hotel. Neither the iron nor the ironing board worked. We asked for a new iron and one was sent to the room. The cord on the hair dryer was about 10 inches long so that you had to press your head against the wall to use it. The only plug was by the door so if someone came into the bath the door hit you in the head. Sunday morning we ran out of hot water! Not fun. Overpriced at any price.
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. I have a child at Auburn University and this hotel is very convenient to the campus, clean and priced appropriately. I will stay here whenever I come to Auburn.
Staff made us feel very welcome -- even called the room about 30 minutes after arrival to make sure everything was OK. They had a map to get us to the coliseum. It's a bit removed from the campus, so if you want to hit the nightspots, you'll need to drive. Room was perfect, breakfast was very good. Staff was extremely professional and demonstrated concern for our satisfaction.
The fire alarm went off at 5:20 in the morning, thankfully not due to a fire. The coffee was made early and breakfast was hot and ready for all of the morning birds the fire alarm had awakened. Staff was friendly and unnecessarily apologetic. I was thankful for it to be a false alarm.
Close to Auburn U. One of the few hotels with two Queen beds. Breakfast offerings are very good with both hot and cold food choices.
My family and I stayed there for an ovetnight stay. From the beginning the staff was top chef. I had mistakedly cancelled my reservations, but the staff was kind and found me a room. My two children are very hotel conscience, so they really found this hotel to be a good buy for the money. It was locted only minutes from the venue. We fond everything we needed wtihin minutes. We plan on returning to this hotel in the future.
We need handicapped accommodations. The walk in shower was great, first floor room too. The bed was low for getting up.
Negatives: Pricey for this market and level, but SEC track meet was going on. Desk staff not rude, but sit at front desk like zombies. (On the other hand, maids were very friendly.) Breakfast was extensive, but decidely mediocre, considering what other similar hotels offer. Rooms can be noisy. Normal conversations in the hallway seem to get amplified, along with door slams. Also very close to extremely busy College St. Window curtains too short. No way to completely block out light. Positives: Very clean, comfortable and roomy. Best showerhead I've seen outside of Las Vegas. OK, but not highly recommended.
hotel was alright. Standard room. Standard service. The people working at the front seemed not very interested in answering guest questions. On my check out day I was in complete dismay to find a deceased dog outside of the hotel. They were trying to take care of it and find someone to call, but it made me a bit concerned about the area. I was in town for business and there wasn't anything close by to do in the evening. The city of Auburn is very nice a while away from the main drag (college st.) overall it was an ok experience, but I will continue my hotel hunt.
Hotel was clean, rooms were large, beds were comfortable. There was mini refrigerator and microwave in the room. The breakfast area is large and enclosed. The breakfast items were standard. The pool was well cared for. The location is not central to the downtown area, but being on the main road makes everything easily accessible. I would definitely stay here again!
The rate given on line was different from what I was charged. This is not a friendly hotel. I will never stay at Holiday or Holiday Inn Express. I have stayed at either alot and have never been dissatisfied. The rooms were not as clean as they could have been.
Bathroom was dirty and we had to move to another room. Breakfast was good. Convienient to Auburn U.
We came to Auburn to decide on college and were extremely pleased with the staff, service, and quality. This will be our hotel while our child is here at Auburn University.
