I liked the location of the Hotel. The hotel needs to be remodeled. The breakfast was nothing to brag about. The bathroom was tiny and a bit yucky. I would not let my kids swim or get in the hot tub, neither looked clean.
The location is excellent to get to Mt. Rushmore and restaurants. The room is comfortable.
Nothing I didn't receive the room I booked. My family had to split up because they were overbooked on suites that I paid for. Beds were painful because springs were juting out and made the bed uneven. My head was lower than my lower body!
Not much Resort fee of $12 a day for : coffee, pool and parking. Room was very small.
Easy of location. Parking, room needs to be rearranged, TV Infront of mirror. Would be nice if vanity was outside of shower area so both could be utilized.
Location The pool and hot tub were disgusting. The hotel was dirty, smelly, and the rooms were absolutely cramped. The staff were rude and not very knowledgeable of the area (I.e. I asked where we could take the helicopter tour and she said she didn't know. The parking lot is connected to the helicopter tour office.) overall, we stayed to be in keystone near the memorial and the start of some scenic byways and for the location and cost of room, remember that you get what you pay for
The only place to eat/drink in offseason is right next door (unless you feel like driving 40 minutes in any direction). A place called Barlees offers limited food options but the staff are incredibly friendly. They offered more/better info than the staff at hotel. Staff seemed irritated. Didn't offer much info aside from basics. The morning of checkout I waited 20 minutes for someone to arrive at the desk. There was a line of 2-5 families during this period all of which took turns ringing the bell for service. Perhaps they are just understaffed being the offseason.
Pool closed and hot tub that was supposed to be part of the chalet rental was not available!
Nice pool. Manager very accommodating and always seemed to be there and available. Some of the cheapest pillows, bedding and linens I've come across especially for the price.
I liked the location to rushmore and to shopping and restaurant It was just weird ,almost gross definintely dated i'm not sure how to described it was very morgue like cold and clammy
The staff was very helpful and very professional. Good for those looking to have the souvenir shopping close by and don't mind small and cramped places to eat. The parking was atrocious and horrible for the larger trucks and cars. No breakfast, not even a continental breakfast.
