Great views and facilities Parking on the higher levels was annoying
I stay at Hyatt Trinidad very often and from the first time til now, the service went from great to the best ever in Trinidad. At Hyatt Trinidad you get the best service from entrance, then you check in and the staff behind the counters are perfect. So, from the bell boys at the front to the check in staff and the house keepers, one word, AMAZING! This time around, I got the best service ever from Triciah. She was beyond perfect and should be awarded "Employee of the Year". She assisted us from check in to getting to our room. I also had a housekeeper who I swear was my own personally. Wish I had her name because she too deserves to be highlighted. The staff at the buffet deserved all my change for tips. I never received such over the top customer service Trinidad. When I'm at Hyatt Trinidad, I am welcomed with the greatest warmth ever. I wish Hyatt Trinidad would go around the island and teach other businesses what customer service is truly about. Love the view from my room..staff were very friendly and helpful. Pool area needed cleaning...went to the restaurant about 12:30 pm to get something to eat and there was no one there to help us only a chef and she was clueless. ..she went to the kitchen or wherever to get a server...we waited for about 20 minutes then left because she never came back...
I also made a booking with Kayak, front desk staff couldn't find the reservation..said I didn't have one. I showed my paid confirmation email, and forwarded it to the staff...and they still charged me for the room! Twice... Now I'm filing a request for reimbursement with my credit card company... What a hassle! Would've stayed elsewhere if I knew it would be so complicated for them!
The staff was the worst staff I have ever dealt with. They told us we had no reservation and that the confirmation email I had from kayak (which was prepaid) was not sufficient. They also made me make a collect call to the kayak.com confirmation line which had me on hold for 40 minutes while they (hilton staff) tried to find appropriate fax numbers and email address. I was very disappointed with the staff. They also wanted to charge me again and were extremely rude in handling the mix up. In contrast the kayak.com staff was VERY helpful and patient with the rude staff at the hilton trinidad/tobago
I was only at the Kapok for one nite and booked last minute and I couldn't have had a better experience at Kapok. When I arrived, they were warm and welcoming and gave me a complimentary upgrade to a King-sized bed. I slept diagonally and like a baby. the next morning I had a meeting at noon and they happily gave me an xtra hour so I could take my meeting in private and then check out at 1. there was also Kava restaurant in the lobby which is a cool little place. it is also located very close to the Savannah and a strip mall area with many shops. highly recommended. wish I could have stayed longer!
Stay at Kspok was a breeze. From check in to checkout was seamless. Staff was very helpful and professional. Access to recreation and urban areas ideal. Only drawback, isles were a little narrow.
In early February 2012, I had the opportunity to visit Trinidad for the first time. I decided on this hotel because of the favorable reviews on this site, as well as others. I truly enjoyed my stay, and if I'm blessed to return, I will stay at the Marriott again. By the way, the hotel is across from the stadium; therefore, it could be a little noisy. However, I did not mine the noise. I was just glad to be there.
The hotel was very clean, staff was very friend and made sure all of our needs were met & the hotel is convienetly located right next to a plaza with a shopping mall, many american favorites such as cold stone, starbucks, ruby tuesdays, a movie theater, popeyes, burger king.
