Proximity to cedar point was convenient and price was fair rooms were filthy..doors didnt seal..the pool was disgusting and way over chlorinated..bugs in the room kept getting bit all night.. Spend a little more and stay at a decent hotel next time
The manager was very rude and unprofessional. We will never book an other stay at this facility.
We were pleased with the roon we got. The manager was friendly and helped with the questions I had. The room was small in size, but for the one night we stayed it was fine. The room was clean, but had a musky smell (which didn't surprise me considering the age of the hotel). The bathroom was spotless! I was impressed with that since I have worked in a hotel as a housekeeper for two years. It was a quiet area too! I would stay here again the next time we head to Cedar Point!
Clean comfortable room and great value for money.
This is an older property and it shows. For a close stay at a popular destination this is an excellent value. The rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly. Don't expect a lot more. We had a large group and needed several " inexpensive" rooms for a 2 night stay. We got that. This property is just a 5 min. drive from the front gate of Cedar Point.
My husband and I and our two sons stayed here for two nights to visit Cedar Point. I can't say enough about the 'bang for the buck' that this hotel gave us. Large indoor and outdoor pools with a covered bar on the outside pool deck, and the staff was amazingly friendly. The free breakfast was a life-saver. We all had full stomachs before heading to Cedar Point! And we're not talkin' bagels and dry cereal -- the Comfort Inn had hot food, including waffles, eggs, bisquits and gravy, and fresh fuit, oatmeal, english muffins, sweet rolls, and three kinds of dry cereal! Fresh coffee is always available in the lobby, too. The only minus for our room -- which was perfectly fine in every other way -- is that we really missed having a little fridge to keep drinks in. Don't quote me on this, but I think that may be an option in other rooms that they have, so ask about it when you book if you'd like a fridge. Otherwise, for the price, you can't beat it. If you just need a place to crash after hit...
We stayed here on our trip to Cedar Pointe - Close to park - like 5-10 mins - Rooms were clean - kids loved the indoor and outdoor pool - we loved the poolside bar! Cost us LESS THAN HALF the price of staying in the park! Breakfast was standard - but good. We wil be back and I would recommend this hotel to a friend.
I was so paranoid of vacation because of bad hotel experiences. After reading one review after another of multiple hotel locations, I wasn't expecting much especially when my husband couldn't make the trip. It turned out that this one would be a keeper for us. The manager (Amy) was so helpful and accommodated us when we got there before check in time. The room we stayed in was in great condition and breakfast had plenty to offer for my two boys. Cedar Point was about 12-15 minutes away from the hotel so the location was perfect for us with a lot of restaurant choices in the area! There was only one setback...Upon our return from Soak City and dinner, our bathroom had not been provided with new towels so I had to call the front desk for them. Unfortunately, there was only one staff at the front so I had to go to the front desk to grab the towels. No big. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to my family and friends.
My wife and I made reservations for the king bed/whirlpool room, which was confirmed via email. When we arrived at the hotel we were put into a 2 double bed room. When we went to the front desk to inquire what happened, we were told that the room we reserved was taken 'out of service.' No other rooms were available. We were never notified about this, even when we called to let them know we would be arriving late in the evening. We had a very special trip planned to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary. Had we known, we would have gone elsewhere. It was a huge let down and really spoiled our weekend.
Couldn't be a better place to stay for a reasonable price in Sandusky! The hotel staff at every level was 100% personal and accommodating. The cleaning staff even put a grandchild's toy animal on the bed awaiting her return from a day at Cedar Point. The breakfast was absolutely outstanding and amazingly attended to for supply and cleanliness despite the big crowds. The outdoor pool and cabana bar made you feel like you were on a tropical island. We have paid twice as much for a quarter of what hotel facility offers. It's a real winner for our family.
A good motel. Check-in was easy. Room was nice and convenient.
For the price you can't beat it..the first room that I stated the toilet clogged (not my fault) so the gentleman quickly moved me to an even better room..I'd definitely stay there again if I'm in Sandusky.
We stayed for two nights over Memorial Day weekend. There were lots of buses when we arrived and thought things would be bad because there were a lot of kids. The kids were the least of the problem. The poolside bar played music loudly until almost midnight and the neighbors hung out on the first floor patio drinking and carrying on the second night. The room itself was fine and the breakfast was ok. Our main complaint was the lack of breakfast meats. Hopefully on a less busy weekend it would be a better place to stay.
Stayed here for our annual Cedar Point trip. The upgrades are very nice. The highlight was the cabana bar/pool area which was open until 2:00 a.m. The kids could swim in the pool while the adults lounged around the bar, snacking and having drinks. Cushioned patio furniture was a bonus! Loved it - will definitely be back!
Breakfast was very well done. We just stayed the night after Cedar Point. The room was clean and comfortable.
Very nice hotel and great staff. No complaints at all. I would definitely reccomend it and stay again
My girlfriend and I were just spending time in the area, needed a cheap hotel. Amazing room. We had 2 double beds but only needed one but it was the cheapest. Hot-tub was green and something was broken to make it not bubble how it should. Was almost just like an overly hot bath. Internet was free, no password was needed. I am a computer technician so this is important for me. Amazing breakfast. The Baci bar/restaurant was nice to have so close but we were not able to go as one of us was not 21. You must be 21 to enter. Great attractions close to the hotel, lots of restaurants down the strip, Cheap gas right across the street.
Staff very helpful and kind
They gave away my room
Location Dirty and run down
Mattress was very firm. I slept well. ceilings for first floor rooms was rather low.
The location was convenient. The staff who we called man sir boy was absolutely great. We don't think anything came up missing. There was an odor about the room. Our only roll of toilet paper had blood soaked through it. The pool was solid green sludge. The entire premise smelt like an ash trash and all we could breathe was someone else's second hand smoke from somewhere. Our room was entered while we were not there.
no internet , staff rude
Dirty, reeked of cigarette smoke, the restaurant In the building was Chinese and it was disgusting. The t.v. didn't work. TheRe were young people in the pool playing music loudly and splashing the whole area being disrespectful. It was a waste of money. We asked for a non smoking room and they gave us a smoking room and didn't fix it in anyway.
The staff was nice & it was affordable. The safety latch on the door was broken, mold in bathroom, walls super thin can hear everything going on in room next to me, the bed was so uncomfortable. I am still recovering from the back pain 2 days later.. I just felt so unsafe sleeping there.
Nothing The smell upon entering the room was horrendous. There was water damage on the ceiling holes in the walls. The toilet ran all night long. The bed was small and uncomfortable. if it hadn't been 1am in the morning when we got there we would have went to a different hotel. Not sure where the people who wrote the reviews stayed at but this place is a dump and not worth the not worth your money or safety.
Overall clean, comfortable room The hallways and elevator smelled like marijuana.
Very nice updated hotel. Front desk person was very nice. Nothing to say bad about the hotel.
Price was right and the room was clean. The complimentary breakfast was satisfactory. Descent TV's and mini-fridge in the rooms. Upon arrival, our room was very warm and damp, which was an unfortunate sign that the unit hadn't been occupied very soon beforehand. Not a huge issue, we turned on the AC unit and were fine within 30 minutes, but still concerning, especially upon first arrival. The beds are very firm, but manageable.
The room was clean and stylish for the price.
Under construction so no convience going to the pool, terrible breakfast. I would never go back.
Friendly staff, nice cool room on a hot day, clean pool, warm showers, nice tv It's kind of in a strange part of town, so when you are in the pool a lot of people can walk by and see you
Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly as well. Bathrooms could use an update.
I didn't like anything about this hotel. The location was scary. Beds were single not queen like I was told. My boyfriend and I had to sleep in separate beds. The worst experience I have ever had.
Staff was friendly, rooms were clean, water/AC/TV all worked. non-smoking room smelled of smoke, half of the vanity was falling off, sketchy location - dark behind restaurant
Friendly staff One ice machine
