The bed was extremely comfortable and there were many pillows. Very nice and responsive staff. Complimentary Yoga mat on request. The room design was cold and dark (no overhead light, and the lamps had fluorescent bulbs), the bathtub creaks when you stand on it to shower, and the carpet had little white hairs on it, but they did clean it well when I complained. The pool room is dank, outdated, and uninviting, the picture online makes it look much better than it is. We did not want to use it at all and that feature was part of why I chose the hotel.
Lots of things to do and a very nice place. Enjoyed my stay.
Our say was great and the staff was amazing and helpful. It was nice that the hotel was connected to the convention center so we didn't have to worry about driving and parking. The only i really have to complain about is even though the room was clean and nice the bathroom need to be clean just a bit more. The shower curtain was growing mold andi found hairs in the tub.
Placed a breakfast order, when it didn't come at the time I called and they said it would be a few minutes 20 minutes later still no breakfast. Finally told them to cancel the order which they did (no charge).
Good location. Close to everything. Getting woke up at 7:00 am from the laundry guy coming to wrong room. Then the cleaning lady just walking into our room without knocking and we had the do not disrupt sign on.
Great location Substandard service due to understaffing. Dirty sheet not changed, had to wait to be seated for breakfast because all tables were dirty. If you have 3 events going on downtown one weekend you need ample staff. Beautiful facility.
Room and view was amazing. Staff was really friendly. Location was perfect for access to downtown and attractions. Prices at hotel lounge were rediculously high.
The staff was the best part of the whole place. Overall a beautiful place definitely worth going back to and you were treated like you are the only one that matters. The beds are super comfortable and the bathrooms are a nice slice of home. The bar and room service are a touch overpriced but the service itself is great, the staff makes up for the price I suppose.
Nice suite. Complete kitchen. Very good breakfast. Very close parking to the suite. Accommodated our ground floor need. We were not informed that we had to request room attention. I had to walk to front desk to get clean towels. Should have been done while we were out for the day.
Suite was large and perfect for a 3 generational family including the family dog. The suite was poorly maintained, mold on the ceiling in the shower, front door didn't want to close well, there was grease and stains on the wall next to the stove, grease and dust on top of the refrigerator, ice maker made very little ice over the 2 dsys we were there. Trying to get clean towels was a chore, the staff acted as if we were going to steal them and everything else that wasn't nailed down. The other guests were great, the staff, not so much with the exception of Tamara at the front desk - she was great!
Nothing I made reservations at the wrong Hawthorne. I called the Hawthorne on Hamilton Rd. To make reservations for my son to spend the night alone. The person I spoke to said because I wouldn't be spending the night I had to make reservations with Priceline. I booked the hotel in N Cols by mistake so I called Priceline and they said given my circumstances the hotel may issue me a refund. So I called and asked for the manager. The female I spoke to on Sunday June 12 was condescending, rude and extremely mean. I don't think I have ever spoken to anyone working in the customer service field this horrible. She could have said, I'm sorry but I can't refund your money but I felt like she was a gift with me and she told me she wasn't going to refund my money and hung up on me. My son was literally in Columbus, without a car and no transportation so I called a friend of mine who drove 3 hours to get my son, pay for his hotel, and make sure he was safe. I also want to add I checked on Facebook and the reviews for the Hawthorne North Columbus are atrocious and I know why first hand. The female should not work with people. She made me cry I was so worried about my son. Thank God there are decent people out there. She is not one of those people.
It was clean, for the most part. The front desk staff told me where to park the company truck, so that they could see it on their security cameras. The fact that I need to park the company truck in front of the security cameras so that it would be safe. The rooms looked clean with the exception of the couch which was covered in nasty looking stains. The place is cheaply built and poorly maintained, it is just worn out. I did not feel, as there were drug dealers outside my window selling drugs until late at night.

Staff was friendly and accommodating, and the room was clean. Crib brought in for baby right away. Bathroom was well-kept. Hot tub and pool were busy, but generally in good shape. Room was old, where A/C had a little bit of musty smell. Shower fixture was older and the hotel in general looked dated. Some part of the hotel grounds and hotel itself were dirty/grimy. Could not be convinced this was a true 3.5 star hotel.

My original room was not to my satisfaction but the staff was very polite and accommodating and quickly fixed the problem and got me into a different one. The grounds were beautifully kept and the hot breakfasts and promotional complimentary dinner were great perks. The rooms are old and in some need of repair but they are clean enough and very roomy making this hotel a great value.
I was near a shopping mall USED shampoo,smoke detector need a battery and the staff didn't do nothing about it for two days that i was there. Only good that we got was its pet friendly
Price Everything, customer service is horrible. Tamara on the front desk has the worst guest relations/customer service I have ever encountered. I rented 2 rooms for 2 nights for my family, 5 of is traveling, and it was horrible. The rooms are old, unrepaired water damage and just "icky". The breakfast attendant must truly hate her job because she treated everyone with as much disdain as possible. I will never stay here again and I would caution anyone looking to stay here as well. August 12, 2016.
