The staff were super attentive. The rooms were beautiful and the beds really comfortable. Great location right off of 84. My only complaints is that I like a cold room to sleep in and I didn't like that the AC would shut off in the middle of the night, couldn't keep the fan to stay humming all night it would go off intermittently, so hard for a light sleeper.
We stayed at the Ethan Allen hotel twice while we were traveling recently. We absolutely loved everything about it. The staff were very welcoming and made sure that we had everything that we needed. The rooms are nicely decorated with Ethan Allen furniture. The beds are to die for and are comfortable beyond belief. Our room even had a Keurig which made us feel right at home and certainly beat the standard hotel coffee pot. We will definitely stay at The Ethan Allen hotel whenever we are in Danbury, Connecticut.
Location convenient to Charles Ives Center Do not disturb means "do not disturb" ...first day housekeeping called to ask if we wanted rooms made up. If we did, we would have put the tag on the door. The second morning we wanted to sleep until checkout. The phone rang at 8:30. I didn't answer it. Front desk said it wasn't them. Nobody had my phone number. I'm betting it was housekeeping calling to see if we were checking out. Annoying!
Generally my room was in dire need of a facelift. The sink faucet in the bathroom was loose as was the molding on the floor. The refrigerator barely kept thing cool.
Attentive service - we requested a crib at check/in and it was in our room when we got there. Breakfast was extensive. The walls were very thin, we heard any water running next door, and all the noise from late arrivals outside our room.
The first room AC was down. As soon as we called, someone was there and when it was obvious that the AC was down, we had another room - all within 15 to 20 minutes:0)
Excellent customer service and beautiful rooms! The continental breakfast was disappointing and very disconcerting. There were alot of small children, under the age of six in the buffet area, without parental supervision, touching the waffle maker, other hot items, and they had their "little hands" all over the food and then not taking. My husband and I decided to leave after seeing that. I would suggest sign made not allowing children under a certain age in the food area or they must be accompanied by a guest.
It was very close to the event that we attended that weekend.
