Nothing Horrible nightmare. They threw me out on the street due to a glitch in kayaks own get a room site. Get a room claims that my credit card had issues, which Is inaccurate. On the second day of my stay, they told me to pay double or go. What a disaster! The manager on duty showed no compassion to make a common sense decision to charge me the agreed upon rate with a new credit card. They refused to do something so simple and off I went onto the street. I will never stay at a shangri la again, the makati property gave similar problems to me and I had to pay twice in order to stay there since it was 11 pm. Shangri la is not shangri la . It is hell.
Nice and clean...It is really 5 stars hotel. The food of breakfast is so so...

Friendliness of staff. Safety measurements taken by Hotel. Proximity to Shopping Mall giving options for lunch and dinner. Rooms will need refurbishment pretty soon.
i very much appreciated your upgrading me to a corner room which i have enjoyed during a previous visit (room 909). for several years i stayed elsewhere in manila because i did not like the room assigned to me. but this time i was very happy -- thank you. no complaints...i was very happy at the EDSA shangri-la this visit.
I could not say anothing bad about my stay. It is my favorite hotel in Manila. We showed up 4 hours early and was able to get a room hours before check in time. I was also upgraded to a better room since they ran out of regular rooms for us. The guess relations person who helped us was very helpful and pleasant. We had a great stay and the Chi spa was an awesome experience. Though it was on the expensive side, it was well worth it. Bit on the expensive side.
Very good breakfast and gym. Very friendly personal. The booking price was given in U.S. dollars but final settlement can only be done in pesos (PHP). This becomes a problem when the hotel uses an exchange rate of 50 (correct official rate is about 46 - the official exchange rate at the front desk is about 47 something). I spent a lot of time arguing about why I would not just pay an additional 50 US$ for my stay because of this - I had to discuss it 3 times until it was eventually fixed, but I was very late for my plane because of it (even though I had gone twice before checking out to make sure it was ok!). This is my only complaint about the hotel which is otherwise very good. Just make sure you do not pay overprice because of the exchange rate also.
Friendly Staff , buffet breakfast and Airconditioning. As this is a 3 star hotel. You will have to do a lot of following up on your requests.
This was a great hotel! The staff was very nice and the rooms were in good shape. We really loved the pool on the very top floor of the hotel with an awesome view of the city. It was a little further out away from the airport than we would have liked but well worth the trip. It was also walking distance to the big Mega Mall which we took advantage of etc. I would definitely stay at this Hotel again if I was in Manila. I can't really think of anything I didn't like. The breakfast buffet didn't have much in the way of American food breakfast. But we wasn't in America so that's to be expected. But it was and Ok breakfast I guess for the Philippines etc.
The staff is great, helpful and they assist me in every way they can. The location is awesome, near shopping malls, and restaurants.
The hotel’s staff was very attentive, friendly and helpful. I also enjoyed the cookies from the café in the lobby.
The location location, location. I booked the hotel online, although it indicate some tax were not included but from $65 per night booking I ended up paying about $85 per night : (
The comfort and the all you can eat buffet breakfast. The service was quite good at Lancaster Hotel. When I wasn't happy with the view of the room they had allocated to me, they kindly changed me to a room that was facing the city.

Continental Club buffet was excellent. The view from rm 4216 was bad -- the side of the next building. The hallway was dim and the light switch didn't work. The bathroom floor had pee stains around the toilet. The speakers in the bathroom were loud and could not be modulated. The room temperature was cold and The AC controls were not intuitive. It's like they just dump you into the room and left you to figure out how to work things out. I thought of asking for another room but it was too much of a bother for a one night stay.
