it's people The drinks, they have to upgrade them
Most of the staff was friendly and provided assistance when requested. Several room to far night activities, some of front desk need customer service training disengaged ,the tailing of guess by Juan for the Privilege Club, limited sitting at the Pescador Rest. activities geared more for European guest.
Definitely go for the Golden Package and try to get one of the buildings close to the beach. They start at 1 (closest to the beach) and go up from there. The higher the number, the farther away from the beach. The place has an outstanding beach and all watersports are included. The buffet is ok, not fantastic but still way worth the price. If you go out to any Restaurants outside the Hotel, they are very reasonably priced and the food is amazing. Hotel still has a very varied menu in the buffet and fruits are fresh as are many other things. If you have a chance, rent a quad and go for a ride outside the property. Las Terrenas is an amazing place. For a romantic dinner, go to a Restaurant called Mi Corazon, I left speechless. Also the Beach Restaurant owned by The Peninsula House Hotel is also a stop you will always remember. Bottom Line, its has a fantastic beach, big rooms, varied Buffet, but if you need gourmet food you'll have to ride for 5 minutes to the plethora of amazing restaurants around town. Definitely a place to see before you die.
The people that work here are Excellent! They are always smiling and happy to help out. The restaurant food was excellent. The beach was very nice with lots of chairs and umbrellas. The beds are small and lumpy. You are given 1 towel and no washclothes... strange... There are people constantly trying to sell you something on the beach. Top shelf liquor is extra. I tried to use their internet cafe but was told to leave because I did not pay extra to be in their 'club program'. The hotel lobby internet is worse than dial up - don't even bother trying to use it...
i wouldn't give this hotel more then 3 stars. the first day that we came to the hotel our safe didn't work and we had to wait 2 hours until some one came to fix the problem ( every time we called they said less then 5 min). our room was so far from the ocean. the night life is dead over there after 11pm they turn off the lights in the lounge. we went twice to the club and we were the only one there. the food in the buffet is the same or similar every night the dessert is the almost the same every night. grand bahia principe is a well known resort but this one gives this chain of resorts bad name
Beautiful environment. Nice private beach. Great breakfasts and dinners. Easy to get seated at pools, beaches, and buffet restaurants. Great bar service on the beach. You can't book specialty dinners until you arrive, and they were booked the first night we got there. Bed was rock hard. Lunch buffets were not very good. All-inclusive was nice, but the only wines included were house wines which weren't good, and no light beer. Our biggest complaint was the discovery, after we got there, that there was a big push to sell you on their vacation club/time-share, and the transportation company they use to get you to and from the hotel also tries to sell you excursions.
Waitress Emperatriz, manager I don't remember his name and ladies that clean the bedroom they did a really good job ... they made our stay feel better... the beach was so cute.... First of all the segurity man at the gate was really rude to me... he made me feel like I was not body there... I was so craying about this bad experience was really times... I just want to forget about it...
