Breakfast staff was inadequate and understaffed on Friday (graduation day from USMC MCRD. Every Friday occurrence.)
The staff was excellent Kristi, Curtis, Donna, and Lindsey were the best.

The location is good . The facility is bright. Easy to access.
Very nice place. This is our second stay and will repeat if the opportunity presents. The cookies at reception were stale and hard as rocks.
The town of Beaufort was wonderful and the hotel was a deal compared to others. Beds were very uncomfortable and need to be replaced. Hotel needs some updating.
The room was spacious and clean. Location was wonderful and the staff were great. Our bed was horrible. It was suppose to have a comfort select dial. Either the dials didn't work or the bed was worn our or broken. Did not sleep much at all, either of us.
The hotel was no great shakes. Could not change the shower head for a different setting. Heating/cooling system was sketchy. Had to go thru all channels to change stations on tv, could not input directly. Breakfast was just average.
Great Value, clean, comfortable, great staff. Overall great experience.

Room appeared to be clean. Bed was very uncomfortable, made noise when you turned over. Also, room was very stuffy, ac get cycling off and on every few minutes and you could not regulate the temp
The location was great! Only minutes from downtown. The view of the marsh was nice. Kids eat free for breakfast and dinner, although we did not eat at restaurant it was a nice promotion. Nice channel list for kids. 1. We did not have a shower cutain at all in the bathroom. 2. The staff was just so so. We were rarely greeted when entering and rarely recieved a good bye when we left. I don't want to sound picky, but I didn't ever feel like we were a valued guest. 3. The bathroom was filthy! Hair berets found on the floor and the sink(was it not wiped down?). Mold in the shower and residue/hair all over the towel rack. And again, we did NOT have a shower curtain, so water went EVERYWHERE! They also had a tile floor, so we then had to use all of our towels to prevent from slipping. 4. Pool was way too hot. I would guess it was 85 degrees and it was 99 degrees outside in July, so it was not refreshing at all. 5. There was only 1 elevator working which meant long waits. 6. The door to the fitness facility would not open, so I am not sure how to rate it? 7. Not a good experience, unfortunately.
Restaurant has reasonable prices, nice little bar with indoor and outdoor seating. Funny bar tender! This was our second time staying at this hotel for Marine graduation. We would recommend this hotel to anyone.
Well decorated. Cleaning staff was consistently disappointing. Once they took our towels and forgot to give us any new towels and once the room looked barely touched. Everyday they were bad about coming before 8 am and coming back during the four hour Windows we provided.
Everything about our stay was flawless with the exception of internet access and WIFI. Both were very sporadic and not always available. We love the location, grounds are beautiful, staff was great and our room and entire resort were very clean. Love staying here!
The resort's pool and beach were excellent. We had no problem getting chairs at the pool, and the beach was lovely. At high tide, the beach gets really crowded because it shrinks so much. The Sonesta is pet friendly as is the beach. In the late afternoon, there are a lot of dogs on the beach.
The resort is in the Shipyard Community (gated with security and includes golf courses and the Van Der Meer Tennis Center) and has direct beach access. The rooms were newly renovated and the grounds were immaculate. The staff was top-notch--very helpful and professional from the check-in clerks to the cleaning staff. We were surprised when our parking lot view room was actually a view of the roof of part of the resort. Not a huge problem, but still... Also, the beach entrance for the resort is connected to the beach club access for the larger Shipyard communnity. This was only a problem because the beach area just outside the resort tended to be quite crowded. However, everyone was nice and we had a great time.
The rooms were very modern, friendly front desk, large variety of food at buffet. All you can eat, with band duo. The Easter buffet check was a surprise, did not get a price or menu beforehand. Check was $115.00 buffet dinner for two, +$15.00 tip for great service, and we did not order extra items. Total for Sonesta Seacrest Easter Buffett for two was $130.00!!! Wow!! Will return, but call for price of buffet first ;)
Perfect Spring Break! We stayed at Sonesta for three nights in early March and had a relaxing respite from the stresses of work, and for our 14 year old son, schoolwork. Beautiful lobby, with lots of seating. We brought some games and puzzles, and there was plenty of space to play. The pool areas were beautiful, and the jacuzzi was steaming hot. Our room was lovely, too. Nice fluffy bed and tidy bathroom. Great beach area. A private event was going on in a covered, outdoor dining area, and it looked so neat to be oceanside and have a party. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay at Sonesta again.
Room was good and clean, on par with the Marriott properties (Courtyard, Fairfield, Springhill, etc) we normally stay at. We didn't make much use of the resort amenities, but the grounds were well-kept.
Hotel grounds were beautiful. Pools were nice. Staff was friendly and courteous. Rooms were clean and modern. One feature we really loved - tiny floor lights that kicked on when you stepped off the bed. Only activated at night, they allowed you just enough light to see your way to the bathroom without knocking into things. Not a problem exclusive to Sonesta, but by 10:30am all the pool chairs were "reserved", and you couldn't find a seat let alone a couple chairs together. Guests reserving multiple chairs early in the am and then leaving their "towels" on those chairs all day long preventing their use by others is a problem systemic to this industry and really needs to be addressed.
Very clean and well kept. We had standard king bed without ocean view. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Didn't use restaurants but exercise room was nicely equipped and modern.
Everything was nice.
We liked the room. It was bigger than most. There was a beautiful view of the marsh from the room and parking area. Very convenient for sightseeing in Beaufort and the nearby islands. All of the heated foods were gone at breakfast (8:30). The fruit mix was nearly empty. Grabbed a bagel and checked again later. Still no eggs. The seating area was only half full.
Loved the contemporary feel and decorations The bed was SOOOO uncomfortable. We both woke up with sore backs both mornings we were there. Also, the bed sheets are very "damp" feeling when you get in them to go to sleep. Know it's because of the humidity and lots of air conditioning...but maybe the rooms need to be aired out every once and a while, or get a dehumidifier maybe?
