Our Timber Frame Guest home is beautifully hand crafted from Alaska Sitka Spruce wood. It is completely furnished for your comfort with many custom made pieces of furniture - bedroom sets, doors, kitchen cabinets, just to name a few. It is two stories with bedrooms on lower level and living space on upper floor to take advantage of some of Glacier Park peak views and the beauty of the timber frame construction. There is a covered deck off of the living room that has a large gas grill, table and chairs. There is a lower deck off of the main bedroom to relax on too. The main bath is large, outfitted with double sink vanity, extra large soaking tub - no jets, and separate shower. The kitchen is fully equipped with large gas stove, large refrigerator, small island, and lots of counter space. Living room has a gas fireplace, TV (NO cable service but DVD player) and stereo (no radio reception but CD player), There is a separate laundry room with washer and dryer and utility sink for your use during your stay. The home is located in a very quiet area of town on the edge of an aspen grove and field of wild flowers. It is one block off the main road through town and is easy walking distance to a variety of services and shops - restaurants, antiques, art galleries, golf, horseback riding, groceries, car rentals, AmTrak train station (summer season only), and shuttle services to all hiking trails and lodges within Glacier National Park. The Guest Home shares a very large yard with our other VRBO rental property listing #169524 making it an ideal place to vacation together with larger groups or multiple families. We are also located a block from the school playground, that has all new playground equipment. Within walking distance you will also find the local bakery, Two Medicine diner, the small grocery store, the historical Glacier Park Lodge and many other attractions. Our nearest Glacier Park entrance - Two Medicine - is a mere 15 minutes away, while trailheads on park border are also accessible and require no pre-planning. Fly into either Kalispell or Great Falls for easy arrival in spectacular East Glacier Park. With the new road reservation system, we are happy to provide a location with easy access to plenty of hiking in Glacier National Park and out. All of these places can be enjoyed on the days before or after specified reservation in the park and for those who do not have a park reservation. Our local access -Two Medicine- offers my favorite views and hikes in all of the park. The Cut Bank area gives access to Medicine Grizzly Lake among other amazing hikes. Along the eastern, southern and northeastern borders of the park, there are many hikes which rival those in any area and will not require a premade reservation under the new system. This is a great home centrally located in the small, quaint town of East Glacier Park, Montana. The view of the Rocky Mountain front from the living room and dining area is one that never seizes to impress. The kitchen is fully functional with all utilities, open and bright, including a dining table and plenty of counter space. The living room is furnished with plenty of seating and has a vaulted ceiling making it open and spacious with satellite television, and WiFi connection throughout the house. There are three bedrooms in the house. The master bedroom features a queen sized dark wood sleigh bed, matching dresser and bedside tables and a private, two sink bathroom. The second bedroom is furnished with a king sized bed, dresser, side tables and finally, a twin over full bunk bed in the third bedroom. If needed there is a blow up queen mattress and a pack and play for tots. For the more adventurous, there is even a futon on the front porch. Clean fresh air makes for fantastic sleep. The porch off the front door is perfect for watching the sun set behind some of East Glacier's most famous peaks including Dancing Lady, CalfRobe, Mt. Henry and Summit peak. The yard is surrounded with privacy fencing and landscaped with beautiful perennials, bulbs and grass. Newly added is a gravel b.b.q. patio with a picnic table and gas grill perfect for an evening of chatter while taking in the breath-taking splendor of the Rocky Mountain Front or star gazing at the obvious milky way in the remote dark sky.
