The hotel looks nice, The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I liked the complimentary popcorn and drinks. They did not accept my business card because it did not have my name on it. The room was the smallest I have ever been in, too small. The complimentary breakfast was self serve, self cook, with only a few items
The room was clean. I wasn't so sure it would be judging the lobby and elevator area. But it was. It was small, but that didn't bother us - we just needed a place to sleep and it was 1am. Lady working the morning front desk shift was super nice. All in all it was fine but I would say an $80 hotel, not $100+. First, the website I booked thru said I was booking a double room in the description. So 2 beds. When I checked in he said I reserved a single and it would be $10 more for a double. Not the botel's fault necessarily. This put us over $100 for this hotel room and we think we could have found a nicer hotel for the same money. I was looking for a basic, but clean $80ish room so we could sleep for 7 hours and eat breakfast. We were exhausted and woke up 5 minutes before breakfast was over and everything was already put away. It would be nice to have breakfast until 10. Also, and again not the hotel's fault, there was a large family group staying that night and apparently some stayed up late drinking (one drunk man my daughters and I encountered outside and in the lobby on our way in). The next morning there were a few cop cars out front as one of them had been accused of stealing something. The lady working the front desk was embarrassed and apologized multiple times. I told her about the discrepancy in the price of the room and I believe she fixed it. The man working the night before had nothing to say about it even when I showed him that the site said "double room".
The staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was very clean. You could hear through the walls and floors as if there was no soundproofing. This was the worst aspect of our stay... not only did we have to hear everything going on around us, we were also uncomfortable about them hearing us.
We were just staying in Hattiesburg to break up a long trip on our 2 year anniversary. Booked a king bed, but when we arrived they were out and put us in two doubles. Sleeping apart isn't how we wanted to start our anniversary. They offered no apology or reconciliation at the desk. Not even a "my bad". Not too picky, just want what I pay for.
I liked it because it was right of the interstate and not far from the movie theatre or any restaurants. It was a quiet area. The staff was helpful and friendly. The room was clean. Overall just a great atmosphere.
Rooms available off a locked hallway Comfortable bed Not clean Very worn and run down Rough surroundings and clientele
Have stayed at many La Quinta properties. This is the nicest one I've come across. Feels like it's brand new and rooms are updated. Luxurious feel. Side door key was not working.
For it to be a pet friendly hotel it was VERY ceanl! The breakfast was rather questionable. I honestly believed the eggs were buttery pancakes by the look before I was corrected. The waffles were the only decent thing about breakfast.
I like how pet friendly they are, I like the design of the hotel, and the cleanliness. The beds are very difficult to sleep on, my girlfriend likes a firm matress and I like a soft matress, both of us were uncomfortable. The TV is always too dim to watch. Being that it is a hotel TV, you can't change it.
