Quality of the staff and hotel was excellent. The setting is beautiful and close enough to restaurants, shops, and attractions to walk, but far enough away that you felt like you were on vacation. The only small question mark we had was the quality of the pool. It was perfectly adequate in size and similar to most hotel pools, but it did not match the quality of the hotel itself. The deck chairs were plastic and the larger resort (Sea Pines) had run of it, so it was very crowded with children and others. It would be nice if the Inn at Harbour Town had its own pool.

The hotel was in a beautiful setting, with the golf course surrounding it. The staff went out of their way to make our stay wonderful. They remembered our names and welcomed us each time we entered the facility. The rooms were very spacious and the bathroom was incredible. Everything was amazing. I wish there was a way for them to get the landscapers to not cut the grass, power trim the hedges and use the gas blower while guests are sitting outside on the patio trying to relax. I understand that the attention to the greenery is why the property is so beautiful, I was just hoping there was a happy medium.
Close to golf, 2 min shuttle to the beach, and close to activities for young children. Adults and couples with older kids would be better off elsewhere Secluded, once you are at the resort, you are at the resort. Access to everyday items, a lighter, groceries, etc... pretty limited. Get anything you want for the trip before you get to the resort.
I and my family really apreciated the welcoming presence of lemonade, iced tea, and water on the hot days. I also apreciated how the staff was able to say my last name correctly. Imediate access to coffee in the evenings.
Well decorated. Cleaning staff was consistently disappointing. Once they took our towels and forgot to give us any new towels and once the room looked barely touched. Everyday they were bad about coming before 8 am and coming back during the four hour Windows we provided.
Hotel grounds were beautiful. Pools were nice. Staff was friendly and courteous. Rooms were clean and modern. One feature we really loved - tiny floor lights that kicked on when you stepped off the bed. Only activated at night, they allowed you just enough light to see your way to the bathroom without knocking into things. Not a problem exclusive to Sonesta, but by 10:30am all the pool chairs were "reserved", and you couldn't find a seat let alone a couple chairs together. Guests reserving multiple chairs early in the am and then leaving their "towels" on those chairs all day long preventing their use by others is a problem systemic to this industry and really needs to be addressed.
Very clean and well kept. We had standard king bed without ocean view. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Didn't use restaurants but exercise room was nicely equipped and modern.
The resort's pool and beach were excellent. We had no problem getting chairs at the pool, and the beach was lovely. At high tide, the beach gets really crowded because it shrinks so much. The Sonesta is pet friendly as is the beach. In the late afternoon, there are a lot of dogs on the beach.
The resort is in the Shipyard Community (gated with security and includes golf courses and the Van Der Meer Tennis Center) and has direct beach access. The rooms were newly renovated and the grounds were immaculate. The staff was top-notch--very helpful and professional from the check-in clerks to the cleaning staff. We were surprised when our parking lot view room was actually a view of the roof of part of the resort. Not a huge problem, but still... Also, the beach entrance for the resort is connected to the beach club access for the larger Shipyard communnity. This was only a problem because the beach area just outside the resort tended to be quite crowded. However, everyone was nice and we had a great time.
The rooms were very modern, friendly front desk, large variety of food at buffet. All you can eat, with band duo. The Easter buffet check was a surprise, did not get a price or menu beforehand. Check was $115.00 buffet dinner for two, +$15.00 tip for great service, and we did not order extra items. Total for Sonesta Seacrest Easter Buffett for two was $130.00!!! Wow!! Will return, but call for price of buffet first ;)
Everything about our stay was flawless with the exception of internet access and WIFI. Both were very sporadic and not always available. We love the location, grounds are beautiful, staff was great and our room and entire resort were very clean. Love staying here!
Perfect Spring Break! We stayed at Sonesta for three nights in early March and had a relaxing respite from the stresses of work, and for our 14 year old son, schoolwork. Beautiful lobby, with lots of seating. We brought some games and puzzles, and there was plenty of space to play. The pool areas were beautiful, and the jacuzzi was steaming hot. Our room was lovely, too. Nice fluffy bed and tidy bathroom. Great beach area. A private event was going on in a covered, outdoor dining area, and it looked so neat to be oceanside and have a party. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay at Sonesta again.

Breakfast was good, Staff very friendly & helpful. Did not get in your way to replenish the supplies. Room was clean. We were put in an ADA room and the front desk clerk told us that since they were fully booked we had NO CHOICE but to take the room. We acquiesced, and put up with the ADA room for 3 nights. Having stayed at Hamptons' every time we travel, this was the first time to have stayed in an ADA room. The bed was very soft and caved in the middle.

We had no problems during our stay, everything was as expected. Comfortable beds and clean rooms. Hot breakfast was very good with plenty of variety and the staff did a great job keeping it full. If i had one complaint it would be the pillows. Nobody in the family really liked the pillows. Just not comfortable, but the comfortable bed made up for it.

The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was very clean. The breakfast had great variety and well stocked. The fitness center did not have much equipment, however what was there did work.
Staff was very personable. Breakfast was amazing. Easy to find. We were totally satisfied and will return. A table in the room would have been nice.

Staff was friendly. The hotel was quiet. Street view, only one bed was made hen room service came. Not enough parking. Room smelled like smoke.
The hotel was centrally located. Very close to outlet shopping but a bit of a drive to the beach. From our room we had a view of the intercoastal waterway. Very beautiful. Hotel was very quiet and comfortable. Staff was very friendly. Not a whole lot I didn't like I would defintely stay here again if I was not planning on going to the beach. We were in town for shopping and golf.
Have stayed at this facility many times over the years and have found it to be quite nice and reasonably priced.
value, very clean Air condition system was VERY loud
Cleanliness Noisy air conditioner. Not on Hilton Head. Tried to cancel the second Nite but was told they couldn't do anything about it even though the website stated "easy cancellation". I was told to contact Expedia. When we tried to get our room moved because of the noisy Ac the front desk was at first very unaccommodating.
Workmen started working at 7:30 am in the room next to us. It was very disturbing. Nothing was done even after I called the front desk.
I surprised my wife with a weekend trip to HHI for Valentines Day and Marriott did not disappoint. The rooms are recently remodeled so everything was clean and new. We enjoyed working out in the fitness room before going out to dinner each night. Although it was too cold to swim, we enjoyed the views of the ocean from the pool deck. The staff was friendly and professional the entire time, wishing us a happy Valentines Day with a smile on multiple occasions. I recommend highly- great value for the level of service and amenities.
Due to an emergency we did not get to stay after checking in. We received a call that because of a forest fire threatening our home we didn't get to stay I think a refund of at least 3nights should be in order but that won't happen. I will warn everyone I know to avoid using this agency for bookings.
I loved the ocean view from my room. The TV guide for the different channels was sticky. The bathroom needed an exhaust fan.
I really cannot say enough about everything I enjoyed at this hotel. Location, view, friendly and helpful staff and one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on are only a few highlights of my favorite parts of my stay. We also ate in the hotel restaurant and the food was wonderful as was the waitstaff. I can't wait to plan a trip to come back.

Pool facilities are great,the lay-out of the resort good, good amount of shade around pool good waiters to come to your chair. The resort location in Port Royal was good close to good golf courses. Check in was easy and check-out a breeze! Staff were friendly and helpful! no negative items

Beautiful location on Hilton Head Island, with great beach and pools, whirlpool. The grounds were gorgeous and well maintained. The bed was extremely comfortable, rooms were very clean and quiet. The staff was awesome...classy place!

Extremely clean + well appointed rooms and beautiful beach. Pools were excellent and the hotel had a luxurious feel to it. Staff was friendly and helped when asked. When I checked in, they asked when I would check out. I told them I would check out at the latest time which they said was 12PM. They DEACTIVATED our room keys by 10AM. We had to wait for 15 minutes (wet from pool + beach) for someone to come to let us into our room. The women who came acted like this situation is normal. (Never happened to me at any hotel I stayed out.) You shouldn't ask for check out time if your not going to keep my keys active until I actually check out. When we got to our first room and attempted to turn on the shower, sewage came out from the tub. It was disgusting but we were immediately given another upgraded room and everything was fine.
The Westin is a very nice, Vegas style resort hotel. I would have liked to have seen the areas around the pool decks kept a little more ship shape. There were lots of leaves on the seating and decks. It seemed like they were on their off season staffing levels, so not all tasks were being attended to immediately. If I had paid full price to stay, I would have been disappointed.
