Mohegan Wood is a two story beach-town cottage and is a great option to the typical bare bones beach bungalows. Perfect for families or two couples. Away from the crowds, noise, commotion, you can actually relax and enjoy the peace and comfort while still being at the beach. Everything is within walking or biking distance. Please see our list of amenities for the many extras we provide that others don’t such as beach passes and bicycles. Additionally we do not charge any additional fees such as cleaning or admin, the price you see is the price you get, excluding what the website adds. CAR RENTAL NOW AVAILABLE via Turo, Wrangler Sahara 4-door, Audi Q5 and Land Rover Lr2. There is central air throughout as well as ceiling fans and walls of bright windows if you prefer the fresh air. The house has multi zone audio and three flat screen HD T.V.’s. High speed Wi-Fi is available as well. There is a well supplied kitchen with all of the tools and pantry items a Chef could appreciate. There is also a renter contributed wet bar available to compliment your cooking. Outside we have an outdoor gas grill and gardens for you to help yourself to with a variety of two dozen different kinds of seasonal fresh herbs, fruit and vegetables. We have several bikes for your use, two beach cruisers, one vintage rat bike cruiser and a Schwinn tandem. For the beach there are beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers, beach bags and beach towels. The bottom floor has an open room design connecting the sun room, dining room, living room, bar and newly remodeled kitchen. Reclaimed barn wood is used on most of the walls with 12 foot high ceiling in the living and dining rooms. The master bedroom and bathroom are also downstairs at the back of the house away from the street. By the back door are the laundry room and pantry. The Master bedroom has a queen sized bed, mid-century dressers, closet, sliding glass door to a private porch, ceiling fan and a ceiling dropdown flat screen T.V. The newly remodeled downstairs bathroom has a real beach feel with stone and tile walls, glass shower and aromatic steam room. Upstairs there is the second bedroom with full size bed, vintage dressers and closet in addition to the loft with office, sofa bed, more closets, T.V. area and sliding door to private balcony with outside steps down to the deck below. Between the loft and bedroom is a large full bathroom. The decks and gardens are relaxing and large enough for a variety of "feels". There is music, lighting, several chairs and benches, umbrella table and a long reclaimed 19th century butchers block table. We have off-street parking on the driveway with a converted carriage house for storage of fishing and surf gear.
