This place is wonderful. Take the evening ride on the Catamaran, better still ask about a group sail to go snorkling. 6-8 people runs about 115 per person. Unlike the other inclusive hotels where you find yourself in crowds of people, this place is exclusive with a personal touch to you everyday. I don't think you will find a more magical place than this.
Vacation sometimes makes us all pigged out and eating unhealthy rich food that we otherwise don't get a home but at Zoetry, the food is outstanding and healthy. We love the attention to detail, thoughtfulness of a health drink, tea and cocktail each day. The services were great. Miguel at the pool, Cristobal and Antonio were all wonderful and will do anything... We enjoyed our experience a great deal and would definitely come back again. The number of times cleaning ladies come in to care for the room is insane. The only drawback is that other vacationers were tipping when it is all inclusive. We were scrambling not having been prepared.
The small size of the resort is a plus. No waiting in lines for any of the restaurants or other facility's. There are plenty of staff members to take care of the guests, even when the property is full. The variety of restaurants was also very good, from casual to casually elegant. Service was gracious and no one had their hand out for extra tips. A few lapses in service when arranging some of the offered programs on the Anniversary Package and there wasn't a coffee maker in the room as advertised. The included airport transportation was great. Very good service and the cold towels and champagne were a nice touch. Check in was a breeze, no standing in line at a front desk. Same when departing.
Great hotel, incredible service, and awesome food. However, it is located on the ugliest beach of the Rivera Maya....not a problem if you don't mind spending the day at the pool -very nice pool . Also, make sure they don't give you a room far from the main building. The farther, the warmer..... They have a central AC unit for the entire property, my room never got cooler than 80 F.
Good morning! My husband and I just returned from your resort on Sunday (11/13/11). We thought it was a beautiful place with exceptional staff with the exception of one. I do, however, think there are a few things you should be aware of: We noticed bites after our first night sleep there and then everyday thereafter. At the time, we assumed it was mosquitoes, but the bites have not gotten any better. My husband was diagnosed with bed bug bites this morning. The bites multiplied every night we were there, but he has not received any since we have been home. My biggest fear is we brought them home with us – in our luggage or clothing. We signed up for a wine dinner at the suggestion of the sommelier. The night before we attended a wine tasting in the cellar and thoroughly enjoyed it, so when the sommelier mentioned the dinner we were all for it. When discussing other tastings, he said he would be happy to set up a wine dinner with wine and food pairing for us. We love wine and were ver...
wE LOVED IT WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE 'MAGNETIC' BED. It was very hard like aleeping on concrete. I NEED SOMETHING SOFTER. THe employees were very courteous and knew our names within 24 hours. THe spa was stellar. Thai massage was a good starter. The other complaint...THe gym faces east and has no fans! IT grew very hot in the workout facility by 9 am. My husband loved the windsurfing here. THe beach is very secluded...great for long walks and few other people! You are a long way (30 min) from any other towns or hotels so do not come if shopping is important. You could get to Cancun easily but why leave such a lovely piece of paradise? \nOne more luxury...they meet you at the airport in Lincoln Navigators included in the price. THe drivers were very friendly and convenient. Bottom line, we will be back. Also we booked thru the travel website..everything was very smooth.
The level of service.
I recently got married at Zoetry on May 5 and we had a little over 100 guests. The food, the staff, and the resort were absolutely perfect. It is an intimate hotel and has all the wants of needs of anyone looking for beauty, relaxation, great food, and beautiful rooms and surroundings. Francisco from the Spa did my hair, Karina was a wonderful wedding coordinator and everyone was great. We had our honeymoon at Banyan Tree and Rosewood - both were amazing, but Zoetry offers all inclusive which really makes you feel like you are on vacation which is a HUGE perk. We can't wait to go back to Zoetry and hope all of our friends will join us. Most will!

The resort grounds are beautiful. The architecture and design has a luxurious feel to it all throughout the property. we stayed in the most basic room which is interesting because it was amazing. There are more than 7 restaurants and 4 bars to check out. Everything is included. That they don't include at least one spa treatment like a massage with your stay. I think it would add a nice touch instead of trying to make people spend more money as soon as they check in. I found it to be the only experience that lacked class during our stay. The resort credit compared to other resorts is minimal and their coupons don't cover the cost of any substantial spa treatment or experience.
Premium liquor. Food quality was above average. Steak night was amazing Staff was nice and attentive Beautiful wedding set ups Construction! Beach had a lot of seaweed in the water despite cleaned multiple time. Bed was hard and uncomfortable Housekeeping didn't replenish towels every day Hotel was a minimum 45 minutes away from excursions. With pickups from other hotels you're at a minimum of 1 hour to 1.5 hours before getting to destination The hotel pushes you to book tours through Amstar, who resells other companies' tours for a huge markup. Too many kids despite being in mid-October. Missing pool tiles
The staff was amazing, the rooms were very clean, front desk was warm and welcoming. Overall the staff made the experience very enjoyable. The food available during the day was not good at all. The only food worth eating are in the restaurants at night.
Gorgeous location and friendly staff. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for an all inclusive Riviera Maya Family Resort in this price range.
The pool and grounds are beautiful with attention to small details that make the difference. The staff was always attentive and responsive. The preferred club provided a nice air conditioned location for our family to congregate. Buffet was ok and the sit-down restaurants were good to very good. The buffet and Mexican restaurants can be sweltering hot. We had some mosquito problems in our room. This year there is a terrible seaweed problem all up and down the coast making the beaches undesirable.
Really wish the restaurants were air conditioned, we were uncomfortably at dinner. But we were there during a very hot week.
Great staff always smiling and very attentive. Room was beautiful, food was good as well. Drinks are pretty weak but we figured out a trick. If you order a pina colada, etc just ask for a shot on the side then pour it in the drink. Paying for an all-inclusive resort you expect everything to be all inclusive. Having the staff ask you to upgrade your room, or upgrade for a bottle of wine is unnecessary. Just be prepared to say no multiple times.
We just returned from a 10 day stay at Secrets Silversands and it was everything we hoped it would be and more. We had a total of 46 people there for the first half of the trip and we stayed the second half alone for our honeymoon. Everyone in our group had a fantastic time and said that the resort was unbelievable. With all of the pools they have it is easy to find what you are looking for, a quiet day away from noise and people or the main pool with a bar and entertainment events/games taking place. All of the restaurants are very good and a few of them are excellent, we particularly enjoyed the Japanese restaurant and their menu. The lunch buffets by the pools are very good and never gave us a reason to try the lunch buffet at the indoors restaurant. The breakfast buffet has everything that you could want and will not disappoint. The thing that made it such a wonderful experience for our entire group was the staff, the waitresses/waiters, entertainment staff, and the wedding planner were nothing short of amazing. They remember your names, they are fun and kind, and they make you feel very welcome. The complaints I have are hardly complaints. The floors in the rooms and hallways are pretty slippery when wet, which is quite often if you are coming from the pool/beach. The hotel had mentioned to us that they are renovating a handful of rooms at a time and trying out new tiles to help with this. As long as you are aware they can be slippery and don't try to sprint around, you'll be just fine. The only thing that bothered us, and it was an isolated issue that I don't hold over the entire resort, was an experience we had with a gentleman at one of the restaurants. On several occasions he was difficult to deal with and not wanting to accommodate groups. We were told before going that there may be an additional charge for dinner groups over 6, which we understood as they are setup to deal with smaller groups and couples. Every restaurant was more than helpful in seating the occasional group of 6-10 and never charged us for it...except for one. One host of a restaurant was determined to charge us for bottles of wine for the table or else our wait but be extended. If we bought wine our tables would be ready almost immediately, if we didn't buy wine it would be an hour. Again, this was an isolated incident and did nothing to dampen our moods...we would simply go to another restaurant and be seated immediately.
