Very friendly staff from front of house reception to cleaners. I particulary liked the instant acknowledgment I received from the receptionist when I walked through the door even though he was dealing with another customer. Some hoteliers are so busy going through the motions of running the hotel that they don't even see the customer standing right in front of them - so recognition means a lot to me and gets the staff a big tick in the box!
Not really any to list however as you've asked I'll just have one little nit pick. Breakfast was served in the pub next door and on our second visit the waitress got both our orders wrong and my wife had to send hers back to the kitchen - shame really as the first day's breakfast was fine - just a lack of attention to detail which took the edge off a perfect score for you. Not much fun dining in relays, neither is it much fun letting one meal go cold whilst you wait for the other to be redone. I expected the waitress to at least offer to return my meal to the kitchen to keep it warm whilst my wife's was redone - but alas as I said, a lack of attention to detail and no customer focus.
