Clean comfortable and they had bath robes. Pleasant staff. Had to pay for parking but only a couple of bucks.
The unique glass art on each floor. We were on the 7th :). The elevators.
Cleanliness of hotel, and the room service food was good, until it upset my stomach, then I did not like it so munch. Cheap amenities. I have stayed at lesser hotels that had better beds, pillows, coffee makers, bathrooms and TVs. This hotel is far too overpriced. I think I paid for all the art work instead of a quality room. I don't mind paying $300 for a room, but it should include good quality bedding at the least. I will not stay at this hotel in the future.
Thought we were getting a King but was two double beds. And the doubles were the same price as King. You would think for the price you pay it would at least have been two Queens. If we had not prepaid we would have gone to Best Western down the road. At least you would get King or Queen there. The faucet handle was sticky so must not have been cleaned properly and light bulb in lamp was burned out.
The rooms were nice and clean, with nice views of Mt. Rainier. The water didn't work either morning, so I was unable to shower.. only a small discount was given for this huge inconvenience. The oysters were served warm, so I had to send them back for fear of food poisoning. The elevators were broken and/or insufficient for a hotel with so many rooms. No one offered to help me with my bags. The refrigerator didn't work. I was surprisingly disappointed!

Rooms nicely furnished. Nice view. Quiet Personal in restaurant could have been a bit more attentive. Waited a long time for second cup of coffee. Busy talking with each other. Not many people in restaurant so they had time to check on us.
Nice comfortable bed. We had no shower curtain, had to call front desk for 1.
We booked a hot tub suite, the room was very spacious. The beds were very comfortable. The room was clean. They had a sign saying the were going to be updating the hotel soon. The hot tub was fabulous. We arrived3d in town early so called to see if we could check in early. It was about 1pm, they said they didnt have a room ready but would call when it was. We never recieved a call so just waited in the parking lot. Finally we went in at 2:45 and still no room ready. They gave us coffee while we waited and room was ready at 3:15. The hallways and rooms are dated, paint splatter on all the tiles. The tvs in the room were low quality and tiny. The cable flickers. The bathroom had no door.
Staff was friendly. I liked how you could not hear the other guest. I did not see Any bugs there were massive stains on the carpet the toilet looked as though someone tried to carve through the seat with a knife or key. The floors leaked water from the floors above in the bathroom. Breakfast ran out with no refill for guest ... Not worth the money and not as advertised
They should not use any perfume or scent in cleaning the rooms. It was so strong, I had to get a different room which wasn't quite so bad.
Nothing Hotel was very dirty and in desperate need of repair. Ceiling drywall was falling down due to a roof leak, paint was chipping off ceiling in bathroom, carpet and chair in room were stained. Nasty- I will not book another red lion room

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. My first room was right next to the freeway. I asked to switch and they didn't even flinch and switched me to another room quickly and courteously. Hotel needs some work. Pretty dated and could desperately use a refresh. Air Conditioning might have some sort of temperature limiter on it. Could never get the room cool enough to be comfortable. It would randomly shut off and I could never get it to kick on again no matter how I adjusted the temperature control so I turned it as low as it would go and every hour or so, it would kick on again for a brief period. Felt stuffy the whole time.
Throw they set up the room was incredible Room was 100% DIRTY. All towels had little stains on it and eo smells like cat!!!
Staff was really nice and friendly. Woke up a tad bit late called the front desk and they let us check out early. The only thing that bothered us was the heater was not working at all.
You can tell someone tried to make it nice at one point. Wifi wasn't bad First off I want to point out this is my first review of a hotel ever and I stay in one every week for work. First thing as you get outside of the hotel the air smells terrible. Did every day for our entire stay, which ruins the pool also. Even though it had been updated, it was incredibly dirty. They must not own a single vacuum cleaner because the entire hotel floor was covered dirt,debris,etc. From a distance it looks nice but as soon as you get close its nasty. Once we checked in our bed had a lot of long black hair in it. Obviously not cleaned. He switched our room and of course the hall on the new floor was also disgusting, so at this point I had no confidence in cleanliness of anything which takes all comfort away. We tried going down to the bar and the beer was flat and warm. I couldn't bring myself to try the food after everything else I saw that week. Homeless people hang out in front and in the parking lot. Terrible part of Tacoma, definitely not a safe place to be out.
The free breakfast was decent, the hotel seemed clean and for the most part accommodating...For the price in the area it was inexpensive but still nice enough. It seemed outdated, paint and tile were chipped in the bathroom. The staff ignored me when I can to check in and instead took a phone call of someone else asking really stupid questions. In their defense there was only one person and the desk and she did say it was her first time at that particular property.
Jazmine, at the front desk was so helpful. I had booked a different hotel and it was unsafe and dirty. Jazmine greeted me with a smile and hello and made me feel welcome. I was very frustrated but she was able to claim me and gave me my room. She even booked my next stay in Tacoma. A high five to Jazmine for her incredible customer service No comment
The walls are thin. Loud noise at night.
Rooms were spacious and well appointed. Very quiet even next to the freeway. Staff was very helpful, especially in the restaurant. Hotel is a bit dated, shows some wear, ventilation system was noisy.
It was close to the dome. That's it. The front desk staff looked like they were straight out of prison. They were rude and not accommodating. We asked for an extra pillow and they made us wait until 11pm to get one. The soap was open in our room. Not a huge deal. Overall I'd say this hotel needs major upgrades. It should have been a $75 stay at the most. Not over $100. It served our purpose. But would not stay here again.
NOTHING! THEY WERE NICE ABOUT TRYING TO GIVE US ANOTHER ROOM BUT THEY WERE JUST AS BAD AS THE ONE WE HAD. I WILL NEVER GO BACK NOR EVER RECOMMEND IT. WE GOT A 10$ DISCOUNT FOR OUR ROOM AND WE PAID WAY TO MUCH. THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE SCREENS ON THE WINDOWS.

Nice hotel with high end look and feel. Comfortable beds and clean room with friendly and professional staff. Cafe in the hotel had very limited breakfast menu, and kitchen was shut down for breakfast when we went there at 10AM. Found a breakfast place about 3 blocks away, but would be nice to have breakfast at the hotel.
