Location - only a few blocks from the center of Yakima. Price for value is good, but not great. Odd breakfast setup. Waffles and do it yourself breakfast sandwiches, but crowded and lots of waiting to prepare food.
The room was perfect for a clean and quiet place to sleep and rest during a conference. The convention was an easy 2 blocks away, this was very inexpensive ($48/night, expedia). Microwave and fridge in the room and breakfast in the morning. There wasn't a coffee pot in the room, and the office didn't open until 6. If you're an early riser, best to pack some instant!
Breakfast was fine tub would not stop up. Wanted a bath. They said they would change rooms but we were settled in.
Pool and hot tub open until 10:00. Good after four days of camping... The shower was a trickle.... Not good after camping for four days...
Continental breakfast was inedible. Dirty room, food looked bad.Close to the freeway, clean comfortable room.
Good location If you don't go to the front desk and tell them you did not use the in room vault they automatically charge you. If you fight the chafe staff get angry and tell you it's your fault for not telling them you didn't use the vault... Maybe it's petty but I was not pleased with the predatory charge or the hostile response.
It was really close tot he conference center. The pool looked nice, though I didn't check it out. Morning desk staff was cheerful and friendly. Room 108 smells strongly of mold and chemicals. Room appeared clean enough except for the tub enclosure, which had dried conditioner and schmutz about where you lean forward when you put a foot up to shave a leg.. The bathroom faucet dripped.
The bed was comfortable, but the pillows weren't even regular size. Old and rundown everything. TVs haven't been updated to flat screen, carpets have been bleached where there were stains, clunky elevator, loud fans. Every time someone around showered, the pipes were noisy. People smoking just outside the front door. The pool seemed to be the bright spot, but the water was really cold. No good food within walking distance. Should have spent the extra $20 to go the Red Lion.
Location Outdated building, old furnitures & TV
Staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. There wasn't anything bad about this hotel for the most part. The price was rediculous for what you got. The place was incredibly dated with peeling wallpaper and our toilet was not secured to the floor (scary). We could not get wifi service in our room and needed it to complete a bunch of work. Had to go to the lobby to find it. Looks like they are planning on a remodel which is sorely needed although we will most likely not stay here again.
Entire hotel was very dirty and poorly lit. The door to my room had been bashed in recently I take it since the trim was completely broken and lock had been screwed back together. Capet was stained and ruffled up as well as the subfloor being rotted away and creeking. Stains on the chair and bed as well. All furniture was scathed and scuffed, looked like it was bought at a yard sale.
Relatively inexpensive. Worn out, dated, mildewy kind of a smell in the room and halls, meal offerings unappetizing (though free - you get what you pay for).
