The location was good, as was the price. The room was comfortable enough for what we needed. The traffic noise was somewhat distracting. The person who checked us in was not helpful and had very poor eye contact. The breakfast that was provided was terrible.
The location is great, able to walk about anywhere we wanted to go.
Central Location, ample parking and friendly staff
The breakfast was much better than we expected. Rooms were clean and staff was very friendly.
The location was great. Over all I would stay there again. There was nothing I did not like.
Overall the stay was nice. Great location in downtown area within walking distance of restaurants and shops, room was clean, and the continental breakfast was a nice value. Fitness center was hard to find, and ended up being about the size of a walk-in closet. There wasn't adequate space for working out other than using the one treadmill there.
Not much The hotel smelled. We were in a dark annex. I would never recommend this hotel. There are much lovelier places in the area.
we love the location. easy to get around to shop, etc. the price is excellent. my husband and i are both smokers and i think the roms should be sprayed between people.
Nice accomodations. Close to downtown and park. Went to eat breakfast and no hostest available. Went across street for breakfast.
The Gettysburg hotel had nice accommodations for the price and we will stay there again! we enjoyed the attached restaurant also!
Great location, very friendly and helpful staff, great facilities. The rooms were not quite as nice as common areas.
I loved the location for how quickly you can get to anything at the circle along with the Staff being very generous and sincere. I felt welcomed and enjoyed the comfortable king bed and fireplace my room had. This hotel is perfect for young couples that will be enjoying the night life in Gettysburg. As my subject says, this is not for children. There are a handful of bars nearby including one in the hotel and two directly across the street from the hotel which causes a lot of noise at 2am when they let out. The windows are old and thus don't block any noise so I woke up and couldn't fall back asleep from 1:30am until about 3am as the crowds left the bar outside and those inside stumbled in to their rooms. (Walls are thin so you hear a lot if someone is talking with a raised voice)
The hotel was right at the center of town. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room large and clean. The prices were a little high.
Clean. Centrally located in town. Five hallways to get to the room. Very noisy street front room, many trailers driving thru in the AM.
In a historic spot in a historic town. It is very close to other landmarks and a must-see for any history buff. I wish they had a continental breakfast available and having to pay an outside company for parking seemed ridiculous.
beware that if you book through kayak via hotels.com you are unable to change your room. i booked a suite and was not happy with the layout (two tiny rooms) and asked to switch rooms. the hotel was only half full this particular weekend so they had plenty of rooms available. the front desk curtly informed me that since i booked through hotels.com i could not change rooms. i even offered to move to another room that would be a downgrade and the women at the front desk did not want to accomodate me. i finally had to say that i would forfit the premium that i paid for the suite. however, they were not very nice about it.
Great location, shopping and service. Clean rooms and lobby. Nice onsite meals. We got a Junior Suite and for the price it had a roof view.

lobby breakfast was good and the staff were friendly The one thing I would complain about is the air conditioner in the room. You couldn't set it below a certain degree - 60 which seems fair but the room never got that cool before cutting off. Made sleeping a little uncomfortable.
Rooms were very clean, the bed was firm and the breakfast was great
Location Heated indoor pool was not working. That's the main reason we booked this hotel. With 4 young children a pool was vital. Not happy about this as we did not get what we paid for.
I felt the quality and selection of food items available for breakfast each morning rathee poor. Often picked over...without being refreshed or changed frequently enough.
Hotel was clean and bed very confortable. Staff at hotel very nice but unwilling to rectify a situation I encountered.Breakfast was your usual free hotel breakfast. Chose to eat out. My niece paid $2.00 less then I did for extra night making reservations When making reservation first called hotel because we had a wedding booking rate. I was told the hotel was under new management and they would not honor rate. Also asked about triple and aarp and was told they would not give a discount.
This has always been our 'home away from home' whenever we go to Gettysburg which is often. The location can't be beat and the staff is very welcoming. We noticed on tis trip that this hotel is becoming a bit shabby. The mattresses in our room had a noticeable dip in the middle and were very uncomfortable and hurt my back. The toilet seat was falling off and the walls in the room had gouges in the paint
The service was outstanding. Hotel Employee at the front desk was so helpful and kind. The hotel is a bit outdated with a slightly unpleasant odor.

the best..... n/a
Roominess of the room was good. There was nice variety for breakfast. Every time we went into our room, we could smell smoke (404). We were told afterward that room had been occupied by someone whose house had burned. We would've appreciated knowing this beforehand. Even better, having been giving a different room.
