Loved the charm and character of this old hotel. The room was lovely and spacious. The bathroom was very small but clean and updated. We dined in the dining room for dinner and breakfast which was wonderful. Used the small gym for a quick work out which was more than adequate. I would definitely return to this hotel if I needed to be in the area.
Everything. Classy, clean and a great value. Top shelf place, in the middle of a quant little town.
Walking distance to good restaurants and historical buildings. Bed was very comfortable. Staff was friendly. Room was very small for the price. I spent less for a NYC hotel at the same quality
Breakfast was good Feces in toliet bowl in room made me question hygiene of room
Clean rooms, our room didn't smell the stereotypical hotel "stale," continental breakfast (the sausages were great), the security hold on your account is also only $2-3 so no worries there. Our bathroom could've used a good scrub down before we got there, there were a couple small mystery stains, and the front desk only has two workers tops, which can get overwhelmed very fast while checking in. Overall decent hotel for the price though.
Not much, the front desk lady was helpful but that was about it... Where to start... the pillows didn't even habe pillow covers. They advertised a Continental breakfast but when I woke up there was nothing.
Inside and outside access to our room All facilities of hotel, including our room were run-down. In our room the light was missing a lamp shade. We only received room service the last evening we were there. There were not enough towels. The room next to us was very loud the first night/morning. The included breakfast was mediocre.
The free breakfast was a very good for the value of the hotel. The room seemed fine at first glance. Once we got ready for bed we realized that one of the beds was filled with sand. Even the pillowcases were covered in it. No one we were travelling with has been near sand all summer. The bedsheets were clearly NOT changed between customers. When I opened the curtains in the morning I found a disgusting smear of something. It was at a perfect height where a child could reach when they are on top of the a/c unit. Since we realized the sand issue after dinner when we were getting ready for bed, there were no housekeepers and it took at least 20 minutes for someone to come correct what was an egregious and disgusting issue caused by hotel staff negligence. I cannot recommend a hotel that could overlook something as basic as changing bedsheets, let alone windexing the windows. The cherry on top was the mysterious $131 charge posted to my account several days after my stay. As if my letting the unchanged bedsheets go without a fuss wasn't a favor, they decide to add mysterious charges to my account. Called the hotel twice and have only been able to reach the manager's voicemail. My only hope is that he's supervising housekeeping.
Every single employee with whom I interacted Not enough money spent on cleanliness.
Hotel staff very unfriendly
Nothing We reserved a non-smoking room. When we arrived late at night after a family function, the desk said the reservation was for a smoking room. I showed him my reservation- non-smoking. He said nothing I can do about it, its the only room. It was 1:30 am. So we took it. It stunk. I woke up with a headache. The room was the most disgusting room I've ever stayed in, no exaggeration. I've been to India. There was trash including blunt wrappers and CPS paperwork in the bed stand. Mold and degrading foam in the box spring. Burn marks in the comforters. Loud noises all night. Truly a bad experience.
This is the worst place that I have ever been to in my entire life. The guy at the front desk was pissed off that I booked online and gave me the last non-smoking room available. We got up to the room and the door just opened and when I tried to close it, it would not stay closed. There were holes in the wall and the bathroom door has been broken into. They had covered up the door holes with putty and left the broken door jam the way it was with open cracks. I immediately went back to the front desk to ask if there was another room and he just sent the repair guy up to look at the door. There were apparently no more rooms. The guy came up and jiggled the door and showed us "the way" that you have to close it in order for it to close. That is insane!! It was completely gross everywhere and after changing my clothes, there was no way in the world that we were going to stay there. We went back to the front desk and gave back the key and didn't even spend the night. The guy at the front desk tried to see if we could cancel our reservation and book directly with him we could get a room with a jacuzzi. I told him that even if I could cancel I would not stay here because I did not feel safe. If you are looking at this hotel, please DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
We plan on staying at this hotel again!! It convenient to all places in Lehigh Valley. We went to the Sands Casino and it only took us 12 minutes to get there.
My stay was awful. I got in late and didn't get a good look at the room, but when I woke up in the morning I was praying I didn't get some disease from the bed. The pillow was so terrible I had to go out and buy my own, same for bath towels. I had to have the hotel re-clean the kitchen as there was some yellow goop all over the kitchen area that wouldn't come off. The kitchen towels always smelled of grease - never clean. The once weekly clean never cleaned the bathroom counter nor the kitchen sink or stove area. I had to have them reclean almost every week. The front desk explained they had problems with housekeeping but I was there almost 2 months. That's plenty of time to fix it. The straw that broke this camel's back was the ants that came in my last week. But then they kept coming. When I reported it to the front desk, they had nothing there and I had to wait until the next day for someone to spray. The ants kept coming, and I had to go to the grocery store and buy my own spray s...
I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Only comment is about the grab and go breakfast I prefer real eggs and waffles but thats my personal opinion.
Recliner in room was nice. Coffee and maker in little kitchen. Good size fridge. No shampoo or continental breakfast. Room was clean and smoke free. Could have used a blanket, was a little cold at night. Convenient location. I was visiting colleges in the area. Duncan Donuts across the street and a Panera one exit up towards Easton.
This place was very close to anything you needed. The rooms were excpetionally clean and nice sized. The only thing I experienced trouble with was trying to find out from the front desk if we could get an early check in to be sure we would have enough time to get dressed for a wedding. Other than that, a great stay!!!
This was a lower-cost no-frills hotel, they did not even have wakeup calls (but there was an alarm clock). Was fine for what I needed and price was decent too.
We just needed a place to lay down for a few hours. For the price it was ok. Room smelled like cigarette smoke very badly, but other than that it was ok.
They made us feel very welcome and it was great that we were going to visit relatives the next day and we could bring out food up to the room and refrigerate it.
It was a good place to stay. close to hospital, however they charged me for the room even though i booked it thru the travel website. So i had to call to get them to credit myu account. overall not bad.
