Loved the charm and character of this old hotel. The room was lovely and spacious. The bathroom was very small but clean and updated. We dined in the dining room for dinner and breakfast which was wonderful. Used the small gym for a quick work out which was more than adequate. I would definitely return to this hotel if I needed to be in the area.
Walking distance to good restaurants and historical buildings. Bed was very comfortable. Staff was friendly. Room was very small for the price. I spent less for a NYC hotel at the same quality
Everything. Classy, clean and a great value. Top shelf place, in the middle of a quant little town.
Every single employee with whom I interacted Not enough money spent on cleanliness.
Inside and outside access to our room All facilities of hotel, including our room were run-down. In our room the light was missing a lamp shade. We only received room service the last evening we were there. There were not enough towels. The room next to us was very loud the first night/morning. The included breakfast was mediocre.
The free breakfast was a very good for the value of the hotel. The room seemed fine at first glance. Once we got ready for bed we realized that one of the beds was filled with sand. Even the pillowcases were covered in it. No one we were travelling with has been near sand all summer. The bedsheets were clearly NOT changed between customers. When I opened the curtains in the morning I found a disgusting smear of something. It was at a perfect height where a child could reach when they are on top of the a/c unit. Since we realized the sand issue after dinner when we were getting ready for bed, there were no housekeepers and it took at least 20 minutes for someone to come correct what was an egregious and disgusting issue caused by hotel staff negligence. I cannot recommend a hotel that could overlook something as basic as changing bedsheets, let alone windexing the windows. The cherry on top was the mysterious $131 charge posted to my account several days after my stay. As if my letting the unchanged bedsheets go without a fuss wasn't a favor, they decide to add mysterious charges to my account. Called the hotel twice and have only been able to reach the manager's voicemail. My only hope is that he's supervising housekeeping.
Hotel staff very unfriendly
They made us feel very welcome and it was great that we were going to visit relatives the next day and we could bring out food up to the room and refrigerate it.
We just needed a place to lay down for a few hours. For the price it was ok. Room smelled like cigarette smoke very badly, but other than that it was ok.
Recliner in room was nice. Coffee and maker in little kitchen. Good size fridge. No shampoo or continental breakfast. Room was clean and smoke free. Could have used a blanket, was a little cold at night. Convenient location. I was visiting colleges in the area. Duncan Donuts across the street and a Panera one exit up towards Easton.
My stay was awful. I got in late and didn't get a good look at the room, but when I woke up in the morning I was praying I didn't get some disease from the bed. The pillow was so terrible I had to go out and buy my own, same for bath towels. I had to have the hotel re-clean the kitchen as there was some yellow goop all over the kitchen area that wouldn't come off. The kitchen towels always smelled of grease - never clean. The once weekly clean never cleaned the bathroom counter nor the kitchen sink or stove area. I had to have them reclean almost every week. The front desk explained they had problems with housekeeping but I was there almost 2 months. That's plenty of time to fix it. The straw that broke this camel's back was the ants that came in my last week. But then they kept coming. When I reported it to the front desk, they had nothing there and I had to wait until the next day for someone to spray. The ants kept coming, and I had to go to the grocery store and buy my own spray s...
We plan on staying at this hotel again!! It convenient to all places in Lehigh Valley. We went to the Sands Casino and it only took us 12 minutes to get there.
This was a lower-cost no-frills hotel, they did not even have wakeup calls (but there was an alarm clock). Was fine for what I needed and price was decent too.
This place was very close to anything you needed. The rooms were excpetionally clean and nice sized. The only thing I experienced trouble with was trying to find out from the front desk if we could get an early check in to be sure we would have enough time to get dressed for a wedding. Other than that, a great stay!!!
I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Only comment is about the grab and go breakfast I prefer real eggs and waffles but thats my personal opinion.
It was a good place to stay. close to hospital, however they charged me for the room even though i booked it thru the travel website. So i had to call to get them to credit myu account. overall not bad.
We planned an overnight trip to Dorney Park and needed a basic hotel within driving distance of Dorney Park. This hotel allowed us to check in at 12 noon and the attendant at the front desk was very friendly and polite. We had a junior suite which had 2 queen size beds and a small living room area with a loveseat and a chair and a coffee table. This hotel was a 15 minute drive on I-78 to Dorney Park and they had discount Dorney tickets at the front desk (they only sell one day tickets and do not sell the 2-day or starlight tickets). Positives: mattresses were very firm unlike many hotels we've stayed at where the bed is as soft as a marshmallow--thank goodness these mattresses were very decent and nobody woke up with an aching back! Negatives: One of the beds was about 4 inches away from the air conditioner and window which made it a tight squeeze to walk around that side of the bed. I suppose they pushed that bed as far as they could to make room for the mini living room to qualify i...
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Bethlehem. The breakfast was excellent.
I had to book a hotel room unexpectedly for a trip to visit family. I felt very comfortable and happy with my decision.
The staff was very rude. When we went to check in the front desk was very rude. We are senior citizens we need to be treated with respect.
We recently stayed at this hotel and I was very impressed with the customer service. My kids were hungry at 10:00pm after swimming at the pool and though I didn't see a snack vending machine, I asked at the desk for any fruit. The young man was very friendly and kindly got my kids apples. This hotel was very clean, the staff friendly and efficient, and we all enjoyed the complimentary breakfast.
The staff had bad attitude. If I pay full price I want to be treated politely. Breakfast was poor.
I was very impressed by this hotel. The service was fantastic, check in/check out very efficient, the room was very comfortable and the overall ambiance of the hotel was definately extremely high! For the price paid, I felt like I got a great deal. Definately one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in - and I travel quite a bit. Highly recommended to everyone!
Easy to find from the highway. Extensive choices offered for breakfast. Good coffee. Variety of pillows. Very comfortable.
Our room at the HIE was great and had everything in it we needed. The pullout bed was very uncomfortable, however, so if we were to go there again, I might arrange for a cot instead. The small fridge, microwave, and coffee maker came in handy. We enjoyed the pool and the hot tub as well, though the towels provided in that area could have been a bit bigger/thicker. It's in a good location, fairly convenient to downtown Bethlehem (perhaps 10-15 minutes away). The breakfast was also pretty good, and the coffee was great. We will definitely stay here again if we need to be in the area.
Great Stay, hotel was great, service was great. Pool and hot tub were great and had great hours. The breakfast was pretty good, too. If I needed a place to stay again in that area, this would def. be my choice!
The first time we stayed in this hotel our car had broken down just off I-78 going back to New Jersey. We left it at a gas station not far and walked to the hotel. It was cold and had been raining, we looked a mess. The deskclerk was simpathetic, genuinely nice and very helpful to our situation. It was the singular best stay in any hotel in my life. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was very good. When my daughters Graduation(at the arena close by) came up last weekend, I scoured the hotel list looking for this one. I don't like to stay in hotels, for the most part I always have a bad experience, until I came here. This will be the only hotel we stay in when we visit PA. I highly recommend it to everyone!
This hotel is barely a year old. It is clean and very convenient to I-78 and Leigh University and Moravian College. Excellent breakfast with healthy choices. Staff friendly and helpful. Would stay here again.
The hotel is clean and welcoming, greeted once walking in. The room was warm and smelled nice too. Overall, we will stay here again. The side conversations between employees. While waiting at the front desk for our room information, the Customer Service girl was talking to others in the backroom. Pretty rude and worse yet it was a loud conversation about sex. I know they were joking around but those talks should be kept low or at least away from earshot of guests.
The room was spacious, the beds were quite comfortable and we loved the fireplace. My daughters loved the extra television and we took advantage of the kitchenette also! We will definitely stay here again. The staff was friendly and helpful. AND there were COOKIES!
