Ski in, ski out convenience. choice of dining options. Free equipment locker. Free shuttle into downtown. Decent pool and hot tub facilities. Super expensive for holiday weekend. Rooms outdated. Food overpriced.
Location was great. Just blocks from downtown. Shuttle service was very handy. Easy access to lifts and slopes, just out the back door. Staff at hotel were very nice and equipment rental folks were helpful. There for two days and longer would have been even better and will stay with them again. Met all our expectations. No unpleasant issues.
Great ski instructor, took two lessons. Very good teacher Need better early breakfast food service
The rooms were nice quality, beds were comfy by hotel standards, and it was a good location with good views. With only a couple of exceptions, most of the staff was rude and didn't seem to really care about their guests.
Being charged multiple times for someone else's room, seems they don't like you booking through anyone but them directly
Proximity to slopes, ski valet to slopes, shuttle service to Main Street Breckenridge. Overall standard hotel. great price for location. Room was a little warm even with the heat turned down. Slight buzzing/rattle sound from one of the ceiling sprinklers. Breakfast buffet was overpriced at $25 and the coffee/snack bar was also very expensive.
Everything was awesome. Although off the beaten path of the village it's worth it. The free shuttle to town and the mountain was very helpful. The gps directions don't work because of the vertical gain/switch backs. Signage Could be better. A very minor issue compared to what you get.
The staff was extremely friendly, but there needed to be more of them! The front desk never answered the phone, because they were either taking bags to rooms or running other errands for guests. Old style charm. Loved being out of busy town, with easy shuttle access when needed. Paid for a large room w/mountain view, got a small room w/ just an OK view. Lots of rooms have great rooms, I just wasn't given one of them. Since I paid for it, I felt I should have received a discount since I didn't receive one. When checking out another couple was given opportunity to select a room, wish they would have given me that opportunity. Restaurant needs a lot of work! Slow, slow, slow, and mediocre.
This hotel isn't on the mountain but they make up for it with a free shuttle that they run from 8am until 12 midnight. Is all you have to do is walk to the lobby and tell them where you wanna go and they'll take you anywhere. When you're done just use the number the driver gives you and he'll pick you up. We checked out before we went skiing and they had no problem letting us leave our car and taking us to and from the mountain. They also have an awesome restaurant downstairs that should definitely be checked out if you stay there. The room was really cool. You can tell the hotel has old bones, but it has modern upgrades which make it really enjoyable. Beds were great, balcony was awesome to drink a cup of coffee on and watch the sunrise. Really cool hotel and probably the best value in Breck. I wish the breakfast was better. They had cereal, yogurt and a waffle maker. For a day that I'm going to be on the mountain all day I would like to have some hot food, at least scrambled eggs and some meat.
My family stayed in one of the townhomes in August 2007 and had a positive experience. The townhomes are privately owned and are in a booking pool through the hotels. The townhome had two bedrooms, fireplace, two bathrooms, complete kitchen and livingroom/dining room area, and garage. The accomofations were clean and very comfortable. There is also a patio backing up to a wooded area. The hotel has a lovely pool area with ahot tub. The hotel is about a 2 block walk to town but while you are on the grounds you feel very secluded. The only negative point, if there was one, is the side where are townhome was located is below a road leading up to the mountain, which made it a litte noisy at night. We are considering retruning in July 2009.
We went there on our Spring Break from March 9th through the 19, 2012. It was like having our own private chalet. the staff was extremely friendly and provided all kinds of insight on where to eat and where to hike. We look forward to skiing there again.
Beautiful place. We were on our own and really had no need of staff other than housekeeping. Good value and great location and ease of access to Breckenridge shopping and dining. It would have been nicer to have a more comfortable bed and sheets; which were like sleeping on paper on a hospital table. Did not like that we did not have a method of controlling temperature in the room; thus having to leave the windows open at night made for a very noisy night being right against a major road and bus depot. (air conditioning would have been nice; even though it is chilling most evening; it was not during our stay) So a nights rest was not something we were able to obtain. If we had been planning an extended stay; we would have only needed to supply food. All ammenties in the full kitchen were there. Even the corkscrew for a bottle of wine to be shared on the balcony.
We loved the place. Staff was great, location could not be beat. Our kids had a wonderful time at the Fun Park right outside our door!
One Ski HIll Place - Rock Resort is 'out of this world'...the accomodations were superb. Kitchen was fully equipped, right down to a wisk. The staff was friendly; remembered our names; helped us with all of our gear, etc. One of the best features of the resort is where it is located: right at the peak. No hassle getting to and from the mountain. We loved it!
