I was here for a quick overnight stay picking my daughter u from college. Can't say too much about the facilities, but my room was spacious, clean and the bed was super comfy! It's due for a refresh with the bathroom fixturing and a few appointments, but a lovely stay overall. Small issue, but there was no tv listing card and so finding something interesting to watch was a blind hunt.
Room was very clean Lack of owner responsibilities. .. run down falling apart hotel has so much amazing potential. owner should be real appreciative of his staff because if it wasn't for the clean room and courteous front desk staff we would have stayed somewhere else
It's obvious this hotel is either going to be razed soon or converted into a welfarew hotel. Dirty, uncomfortable beds, terrible lighting, and the restaurant and pool are closed.
Hotel is falling apart. Staff could not be found for 10 minutes at check in. Horrible security - outside doors off the parking lots are all open -- you do not need a key card to enter hotel. Poor lighting outside. Terrible breakfast. Place needs a total facelift. Overpriced. Could not find staff at check out.... waited 20 minutes and they never showed. Called and called and called.... finally 2 hours later got someone on the phone to confirm my check out. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else!!!! Really.
It was close to everything. It looks run down wen u first get to hotel.the breakfast was cheap, they had to switch my room because the Tv was not working the carpet in the next room I was placed in was nasty needed to be clean.the exstrcise room only had one machine that worked nothing was up to date
The hotel is straight out of the eighties and super deserted, so it's very fun to explore. It's also very clean and the staff were all awesome and very considerate.
I liked the fact the hotel was close to Cornell University, highway, and mall. This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in ever! Driving up to the hotel I could not believe how run down and old the hotel looked. The hotel looked abandoned and had the feel it was being torn down. The parking lot was full of pot holes and no parking lines. When I walked up to my room the elevator felt as if it was going to break down. When I attempted to open the room door to my room with the card reader it took up to 10 tries to open the door. The door would not shut unless I slammed it shut. The bathroom was old and nasty. The bathroom smelled like sitting water and at times urine. The Cofee maker was in the restroom which grossed me out. The refrigerator had broken compartment inside and was difficult to place items inside. The bed was hard to sleep on because the pillows were very hard. The bed had sheets and I was only given a small blanket no comforter! The AC unit was loud and was making it hard for me to sleep. After staying there a few days I had bed bug bites on my arms and legs. I can't believe I spent over $700 for this hotel! I am so disgusted and disappointed. I don't recommend this place to anyone . This place needs to shut down!
it was simply gross
Clean bed and room. Good value once in the room. Good location but a little dated. The carpet in the hallways smell of smoke and the facilities are a bit dated.
The hotel employees were very polite and professional. The hotel was safe and clean. A good location. I was traveling by myself, and arrived after 9:30 pm. The Hilton Garden Inn uses the public parking garage across the street. It does not have its own parking garage in the building. After checking in, one must walk back to your vehicle to place a tag in the windshield to identify your vehicle as one owned by a hotel guest. Not convenient. No valet service. Ordered room service from the restaurant on the premises. The Caesar salad and Brie platter were soggy. The hamburger was good. The room service menu was very limited. Tried to watch an On Demand movie. Paid $16.99 to see Bridge of Spies. The TV screen was small and staticky. The reception was very poor. I would suggest they upgrade the tv's in the rooms.
