The location was walking distance to Yankee Stadium. The staff was rude. The comforter was stained with blood. The windows weren't cleaned in some time & had gross bodily smudges & finger prints everywhere. There was mold in the ice bucket. The carpet was very stained & soiled and the room smelled so bad that all of our belongings still smelled of the room when we unpacked at home the next day.
I stayed in 4 different rooms in I believe 9 days. Power went off in first room, train sounded like it would come thru window in second room (supposedly nonsmoking but reeked with smoke) 3rd room had mice which I saw on vanity under TV (told by clerk they already had a trap in my room and tomorrow they will put another ((stupid comment)). Fourth room no problems. 3 floors and no elevator??? Is Howard Johnson actually that bad off? See above
Nothing really stood out ,I didn't like people always hanging out in the lobby, I didn't like all the bird poop that was on the front steps of the place and the birds hanging out on the front porch Anza Parking was not really all that good either
Location, Staff, value (for NYC) and again very nice staff The neighborhood can be a little scary at night... But hey, it's the Bronx!
Easy check in Didn't have towels or iron in the room. Hair was on the carpet.
right Near the 5 train. less than a miles walk over the bridge to manhattan. Quiet, clean, trendy. Weekends and holidays should have no problem with parking on the streets. Nice healthy options in the breakfast buffet-everything you need to get you through lunch. Hotel is as it appears in the ads. Staff are friendly. inclusive Gym next door is up to date and great ( even though you have to go outside to access it. Don't count on hotel parking 2.5 spots plus a handicap spot(but who needs a car in NYC!)
Everything was great!! Will definitely return!!
