The spa The bed mattress, not as comfortable as one in ballroom room.
Location to restaurants that were walking distance. Didn't have to drink and drive. The bed seemed older. Even though there were 5 pillows, they were lumpy and hard to find a good fit due to the lumps in the pillows. Newer pillows are needed.
Great location, charming hotel, nice grounds, good value
The Paso Robles Inn provided us a comfortable and convenient base for exploring the area vineyards. Being located just off the park in the downtown area allowed us easy access to numerous tasting rooms and restaurants. The on-site restaurant is also a plus for breakfast.
The grounds are beautiful. Centrally located to downtown. If I were to rate the staff on only the woman at the front desk the morning we checked out I would have to say poor. She was extremely rude when we called from our room and then she called back 15 minutes later, with even more of an attitude. Luckily, when we were checking out she was busy being rude to what looked like a very nice older couple, so we got to check out with the nice one. I would say that we would be back because everything else was wonderful, but that woman's attitude would make me think twice.
We arrived around 10:30 pm. The next morning we made coffee in the room (room included a small kitchen area (small frig, microwave and sink) and walked the grounds. Large grassy areas with walking paths and a couple swinging lounge chairs. If had arrived earlier in the day or stayed another day we could have enjoyed hanging out in the grassy grounds and drank wine purchased from one of the local wineries. Very relaxing and the staff was very helpful and friendly.
We've stayed 3 times and keep coming back. Staff is excellent. Spa rooms are so much fun... unless you hate sulphur dioxide smell from the natural hot springs. Very nice staff! Amanda at the front desk was super helpful and nice!
This hotel is stunning. Rooms are spacious and the hotel restaurant and bar are great. They have patio dining and a pool with a beautiful view. We stay here quite frequently and always enjoy our time We had an incident this last stay here. We couldn't check in early so they held our luggage until we came back from wine tasting. We checked out the next day only to find that an item was missing. Although this was concerning, the staff handled this with class and replaced the item immediately, which was an 80 dollar expense. Although it was disappointing to have this happen, they handled it with professionalism and speed.
The Staff was super nice and friendly. THe room was great with a fireplace and renovated bathroom. The bed was very comfortable, and there was a private deck/balcony!
The Black Oak Best Western is an older motel, but has been remodeled and is quite comfortable. The pool looked newish and there is now an exercise room. Breakfast, $5 coupon p/p, next door is so big that we ended up splitting one breakfast and that was plenty to eat.
Large rooms, beautiful grounds, convenient shops and restaurants , great proximity to all wineries, friendly staff! Noisy guests on Saturday night
Location and price to value Not within walking distance to downtown but easy access to freeway and good central location for visiting local wineries.
Staff was very knowable and professional rooms were a good size location was great Called for a taxi hours before a show they confirmed when taxi didn't show I called cab company they simply said they had no cabs available The front desk arranged for us to be picked up and taken to our show great job Black Oak staff :)
This hotel is a great price, centrally located to wine country, the fair grounds and downtown Paso. We enjoyed eating breakfast at Margies Diner on the grounds. Our hotel cost included $5 off our breakfast and free coffee. This is the third stay for us and I would definitely stay again.
