Traveled to visit Lincoln historic sights. Hotel looked promising and proved to be ok - but... The weekend we visited the hotel was nearly full with a child beauty pagent and weddings. This meant the pool was in high use. Asa result, the hot tub was broken, the pool was so dirty the bottom was not visible and no clean towels. Guest rooms were terrific, nicely furnished, the beds very comfortable and teh common areas well cared for. The Friday night seafood buffet was very good, but has very dim lighting. The lighting in the dining room reminded me of a dated 1980's style hotel - a big departure from the true nature of this property. Our family would consider staying here again, but would ask about occupancy levels in advance. If lots of weddings or a beauty pagent were taking place, we'd select a different hotel This property is probably very good for business travelers.
Hotel was nice and clean with excellent check-in service. My only complaint is that we waited quite a while for a bell captain, but finally gave up, found a cart, and took care of our own bags. Overall, probably the best hotel in Springfield, IL. The internet service was extremely slooooooooow. I called the front desk and got credit for the service with no questions asked.
The hotel is beautiful. The staff was professional and courteous. I would highly recommend this hotel.
The hotel was welcoming, but not at all busy on a Saturday night. The pool and hot tub looked nice, but the excercise equipment was not up to standard. One of the 5 machines was not working and there was no treadmill nor eliptical. It was difficult to find with poor signage.
I would highly recommed this hotel ,great location off majot highway and upper class hotel with clean and comfortable rooms
The room was wonderful.
Really liked this hotel and thought it better than the Intercontinental in Rosemont. Just wish we would have had more time to advantage of the many amenities offered. Will stay again when time is not crunched.
The front desk staff was professional and efficient with the checking in and out process. The hotel was clean, well maintained with several options for dinning in the hotel as well as surrounding the hotel. This was a bonus for us since we have small children. The pool was nice, it is located on the top floor of the hotel and the deck connected to the pool had a great view of the city. We would definitely stay again.
Although they say they have shuttle service, they do not pick-up from the Amtrak station. I was on an overnight stay with my kids. The room, lobby and pool area was very clean and well maintained. The front desk was helpful and friendly. The only bad thing I could say is that the television in the room was older. The location has many good nearby restaurants. I would definitely stay again.
Great location. Rooms and bathrooms were large. Walking distance to many resturants. We did like the breakfast buffet, everyone got something they liked. We enjoyed the gym. pool and terrace.
Very clean, friendly and helpful staff. I only hope I get this hotel in future trips.
Front deck staff were very nice and helpful. Breakfast staff paid little attention to tables especially if you did not get the buffet.
The hotel is very well located. Staff is helpful and cordial. Room heater needs to be clean and fix. The room was cold heater didn't work an dust was coming from the furnace. Also food needs improvement. I ordered breakfast room service and came on time but the quality of the food is poor. The ham was dry, and potatoes where from 2 or 3 days before.
Great friendly and helpful employees. Would have been nice to have breakfast included in the cost of the room , i.e. Hampton Inns.
Pay extra for parking. Should be included. This is the highest priced hotel in town.
Every worked well for us. Needs refrigerator in rooms.
Loved the central location. Staff friendly. Clean. Great cookies. Shower curtain smelled like mildew. Wish beds were queen, instead of double.
Hotel staff was friendly, room was clean and comfortable, and the cookies were delicious upon check-in and check-out. I wish the room would have had a bathtub/shower combination, but it only had a shower. The ice machine on my floor was not working properly, but they sent someone up promptly to fix it. The only real complaint that I had was that I was double charged for my stay. I was charged once through my booking site and again at the hotel. I still haven't received my refund yet.
