Location was wonderful, on the riverfront and close to the Wilmington Convention Center and Downtown area.
I expected more from a Hilton. The building appeared older and in need of remodeling. The bathroom was large but had not been properly cleaned, I.e., feces on the toilet seat and writing on the mirror from the previous guest.
I loved most everything! The view was impeccable, everyone was polite, and the room was like an extended stay room. Full fridge and freezer, dishes, stovetop, everything. The room had a full bathroom, with a half bathroom attached, so there were two toilets which was wonderful. I loved it!
The head of the beds are placed along the wall that separates the room from the exterior breezeway. There is a large window over the beds. It is EXTREMELY noisy (echo is terrible- each door closing sounds like a slam) and people were loud (running/screaming) and have no consideration of other guests. I had to call and complain about the people in the room next door, multiple times, who were screaming, fighting, and throwing things (there was broken glass in the breezeway the next morning). I chose this hotel to have a quiet get away and get rest between two long back to back drives, and I didn't sleep at all. I understand that they cannot control the fighting of guests in their rooms, but all they did was knock and tell them to keep it down (I know this because the breezeway is so loud I could hear everything perfectly). The couple was not "just being loud," it was a domestic disturbance and should have been handled differently or told to vacate... Also, the rooms are old. Bathrooms need updating. The coffee pot was pitiful. Coffee pods provided don't even go with that kind of 20 yr old Mr. Coffee off brand. Very disappointed.
