table lamps were not working.
Nothing. Facilities were subpar. It is a very old hotel and it shows. The staff while outwardly friendly did not seem to very well trained. The bar staff was friendly but the selection made it seem more like a cash bar at a cheap wedding than a quality full service bar. The breakfast is not a breakfast. It is coffee and a snack as you decide where you are actually going to go to eat breakfast.
Location, Staff, History, Bar & Restraunt Older hotel and does need some updating.
Character and history of the hotel. Continental breakfast was pastries, apples and coffee only. Rooms were so-so but need renovations. Bathroom fixtures were semi-functional and cheap. Food was overpriced at the hotel's in-house restaurant.
The room was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the continental breakfast was good (although a bit limited). I would definitely stay here again.
Historic setting, general lay-out. Room needed updated.
Location, food, staff Shower pressure is horrible. I understand that everyone needs to power save but is better to look into the water leak in room when water is off and give more when on.
Great Locations Right downtown - near a great park and farmer's market on Saturday mornings. Also next to a lake you can walk around. Staff is very nice and friendly and helpful great parking the bathroom is outdated a bit and the carpet needed some work.
Downtown location, Walking distance to almost everything. This is a classic hotel, but built for traveler's from 1915 not 2015. Rooms and elevators are smaller, but still comfortable; think studio apts. Marble and carpet floors, complementary valet parking (please tip!) and a great restaurant (though expensive, dinner for 2 will be $100+). Everything is clean and well kept, staff is friendly and helpful. We loved our stay!! Just know what you are getting. We are typically B&B folks and not partial to the chain named hotels/motels. This has become one of our 'return to' destinations and hotel. Thank you for a great vacation.
Location near all downtown restaurants. Restaurant in hotel good. Free valet parking. Room good size. Carpet was worn and rippling, room had prime view of parking structure. Freight trains operate all night and pretty loud on north side of building, staff at desk a bit rude. Hotel hardly full and room no great shakes so either they have no better or they aren't smart enough to figure out using best rooms gets repeat business. Had mini frig, safe and coffee maker which was good. Water pressure not great.
Great customer service & treatment at the front counter.
Rooms were comfortable and clean. Staff is super friendly and accommodating. On top of that the breakfast spread is delicious!
We usually look for A Hyatt Place when we travel because of the large rooms with a separation. We have 2 small children and the room was plenty big enough for a pack n play and the sofa bed out. Staff were extremely helpful with recommendations on local places to go and assistance during breakfast (clearing plates, getting hair chairs) Can't say enough good things about our visit.
Was visiting student at Florida Southern College which is only a few miles from the hotel. Very spacious and comfortable room. Loved being able to get a glass of wine there at the bar area. Sat by the pool in the morning as I was up early, and it was lovely. All around, probably the best place to stay in Lakeland. Coffee dispenser was empty Sunday morning. Seemed to take a long time to have it refilled, but maybe I was just super impatient.
Staff was nice !! The room was musky smell and the rugs had nasty stains all over. its located in a really dark and Not to Safe feeling at Night to walk !
This guest did not leave comments about this hotel.
Very close to I4 and to restaurants and shops but very quiet at night which is a great thing The fridge made a lot of noise every couple hours
Wall behind nightstand was stained with unknown material. When informed management was told they would use my input to improve experience for future guests.
The kitchen in room No
Young lady that checked me in was sweet. Dirty, small room, no toilet paper, bulbs missing from fixtures. AC unit mounted in wall right next to bed. Just a crappy, dirty little room.
Location, access to room from parking. I didn't expect to share my room with roaches or to sleep with an air conditioner practically in my bed. Also, without the air conditioner running, I could hear people talking in adjacent rooms. Did I mention the lead foot in the room above me? Pitiful!
The hotel was close to the mall and restaurants The room was very disgusting at best, pillows looked extremelyold, the comforter smelled like cigarettes, the carpet and floors were not clean with dead bugs present. Underneath the bed was not cleaned in months.
It had a decent kitchenette. Despite having a working ac unit, the atmosphere felt damp. the ac blew directly across the bed so it was too cold with it on and too hot with it off. The ad listed breakfast as being served, but there were no breakfast facilities onsite. Staff was nice.
Very quiet, clean and very friendly and accommodating staff. Everything was excellent!! Nothing
Room amenities were good for a night or two stay. Great location near major shopping ,restaurants and highways. If you are disgusted by filthy carpets , this is not the hotel for you. Front desk informed me carpeting in some rooms won't clean properly. How about replacing them or refuse to allow their guests to stay in these rooms.
location 1/2 star at best. floor was nasty, didn't want to go barefoot. 19 inch tv ,I went through 2 remotes.. bring your own coffee and filters
Location and friendly staff. Price. Room not cleaned daily. Had to go to front desk for toilet paper and clean towels.
The hotel is nea conveniently located near the expressway and a ten minute drive to downtown Lakeland. The staff was friendly, the facility clean. A very good value for the money.
Very good professional front desk staff. Excellent price/value ratio Leaky toilet tank
Good location to restaurants and shopping. Nothing
The receptionist was friendly and knowledgeable. The rooms were pretty modern and up to date. I liked that the double beds were queen sized. The linens were fresh and crisp. The breakfast was pretty good! The room smelled like smoke so I had to immediately call the front desk to let them know so they wouldn't think it was me when it was time to check out. I didn't want to jeopardize my $100 deposit. The parking in the back is kind of scary at night, but it is well lit.
