These efforts by the Town of Lake Lure may affect access to the lake and restrict any lake usage. The lake will likely be back up to normal levels by mid to late April. No personal watercraft will be allowed on the lake during this time. While we understand this is an inconvenience, this does allow you to enjoy the full beauty of Lake Lure in the fall and holiday season. Downtown Asheville, Biltmore Estate, Hendersonville, Sliding Rock and Tryon International Equestrian Center are only a short 20 to 30 minute drive. There is amazing hiking at Chimney Rock Park, Hickory Nut Falls, Pisqua National Forest and DuPont State Park where "The Hunger Games" was filmed, just to name a few great locations. Due to the nature of how the front door is constructed it would be picking up motion and be activating all the time if positioned outside. Greeting you is a full length enclosed front porch where you can sit back, relax, and watch the cars and motorcycles drive by while enjoying the sights of Chimney Rock Village. Once inside the main living area you're surrounded by the warmth of solid pine tongue and groove walls and original double rock fireplace with new gas logs on one side and a wood stove on the other. Surrounding the main living room and additional den area are 4 bedrooms with one (1) King bed and (3) Queen beds. Three of the bedrooms have their own TV's. The home also has two (2) full bathrooms each with shower and tub. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to prepare a meal for the entire family including crockpot and plenty of cookware. Gather by the stove in the kitchen or use the gas grill outside. The dining room has ample seating for 6 to 8 people. Wait there's more! There's a sunroom overlooking the river with a large flat screen TV, perfect for watching the game, just reading a book, or taking a nap.
