Facilities were nice Requested a late check-out upon check-in. At 1130a the front desk manager proceeds to knock and open my door. I had the do not destrub sign out and still tried to come in and told through the door to check out . I was in the shower at the time and luckily had the swing lock locked!! When I confronted the manager I was ignored and told bye!! I called corp office and no one followed through in their side either. This is a ghetto managed hotel, they don't care about your privacy and unless you want it VIOLATED don't visit this hotel !!!
The bed was comfortable and the tv was a nice flatscreen. I was checked into an upstairs room during an ice and snow storm. The exterior stairs were dangerous. The hot water took forever to even get warm and by the end of the shower it was scalding hot. The next morning I turned the water all the way to hot and timed it. It took almost 40 min to get hot. I paid $119 a night for the first 2 nights and had to add an additional night at $99 because of the ice and snow. That was way overpriced at either rate for the facilities. To be fair they did say they were renovating. The staff at the front desk was pleasant. They did offer to send maintanence to see about the hot water issue but I was staying to be close to work during the ice storm and did not want to deal with staying up and waiting on them to work on it after working all day. Breakfast was filling and edible but that is they only good thing I can think to say about it. Over all just grungy and old. The unit had a full kitchen but it didnt look clean enough to cook and eat in. The lighting was so poor everywhere except above the sink in the bathroom it was hard to get anything done.
My girls and I do a "Girls Trip" every summer. We went to Canton to Trade Days but we didn't want to stay in Canton do we chose Tyler. So glad we did. Your hotel was such a great place to stay. Everything was very nice. Your staff was Amazing. Thank you for a Great 2016 Girls Trip. It was differently a success.
Super clean!!!! The tv in living area did not work. We were already settled in, by the time another room was offered. Would have scored higher - except for tv.
Rooms were updated and clean with new carpet and clean towels. We had a microwave and refrigerator and even a couch and coffee table. We stayed here last year for the Tyler Rose Marathon and came back because we liked it so much. You get so much for your money as compared to the other hotels in the area.
I arrived late in the evening (11pm) and the staff was organized and fast at getting my room. The room itself was very clean. Everything worked (lights, water, tv with cable, and a/c). Breakfast was all set up at 6am, didn't have many options or fresh fruit, but it did the job. I requested a non smoking room, which i received, however i was right next to a smoking room so it had a strong odor of cigs until i either got used to the smell or the a/c helped remove it. The sheets werent the softest but the mattress was good. The appliances were obviously out dated (old microwave, fridge, couch, iron) but they all still worked!
Price was right, comfortable bed, clean and quiet. Would've liked a shower cap and more coffee condiments in room, but I'm sure the desk would've had them for no charge. We just didn't ask.
Great room for the money, very clean. Loved the bathroom. The "adjustable firmness bed" had one setting, hard as a rock. Not sure if it was just broke or what, but the adjustment nob did nothing. That is the only complaint. Eventing else was wonderful.
The area is nice. The facilities are new and clean.
Everything was clean and functional. For the age of the structure and the price I was satisfied. The shower is very outdated. Functional but rather ragged. It was clean.
Room was spacious. Had microwave and refrigerator, which I had requested at check in. Staff friendly and quick. Breakfast was good. Close to nice restaurants, gas, hwy. Near busy hwy -- some noise late at night.
