Clean room This was a terrible stay. NOT a Hilton quality property. An elevator was out with the door open and "CAUTION" tape across it. Two employee were arguing with each other in the front lobby. I was accosted by a homeless person out in front of the front lobby. The parking lot was poorly lit. The fitness room interior door release did not work. I was locked in the room, yes you read that correctly. I had to force the magnetic lock open. I asked the front desk for a receipt and they refused to give me one at check out claiming I could only get one from Kayak. Worst Hilton stay I've ever had and perhaps last time I shall stay at a Hilton.
Very nice quite hotel Horrible view from our room, we could only see the roof top. Loud in our room when the concert was going on downtown but that was understandable. The pillows had absolutely no head support my wife and I necks hurt the neck morning. Last thing I thought the bathroom was extremely small for the amount that we paid.
We had a cricket in our room on the 14th floor. Also ? bed bugs or some insect that was in both beds in the room. We complained and was advised it would be seen to. The next night we were bitten again. We both now have marks all over our legs. Not happy !!!!
Very cool and hip place to stay! The bed was comfy and the atmosphere was great. When I come to Waco I will stay here again.
Rooms were very nice and modern. Nice pool and a very well stocked bar.
Friendly staff. People in the room above us had cement blocks for feet and were up most of the night so therefore we were up most of the night. Sound insulation was not the best.
The staff at this budget hotel was quite friendly. The location is in a safe location next to Baylor University. Our room reeked of smoke -- it was difficult to sleep in it. We asked for a different room, but the hotel was full. Make sure your room is non-smoking and check to make sure it is. I'm not even sure if the hotel has true non-smoking rooms because there were cigarette buts all over the stairs and landings. The bedspread has stains on it and the carpet had not been vacuumed well. This hotel has the potential to be a great budget hotel if they can work out the smoking and cleanliness issues.
Right off the highway Sheets were stained, bed frame had drink stains, restroom was not perfectly cleaned (*toilet)
The bed was comfortable. Stairs on sheets and floors. Not clean. I booked online. I was going to a funeral so I didn't research review beforehand. Had I known I would have stayed elsewhere. And he staff was very unfriendly. Night shift was ok but morning shift didn't even greet me, or ask how my stay was.
Most of the staff was friendly. Breakfast had good selection. Bathtub didn't drain well. Parking spaces near the only motel stairs we saw were constantly filled by patrons of a business across the alley.
Wifi didn't work.
Very close to Baylor. It is the least expensive hotel of a major chain near the campus. Facilities are a little below average for La Quinta. The lobby / breakfast area is extremely small and a little grubby. The pool and some of the rooms are across a street which is closed to traffic, making them difficult to access. The rooms are showing their age. We switched rooms because the bathtub in our original room contained a layer of black colored stuff, and did not drain.
lighting in room used "cool"bulbs making the room feel stark and institutional
Good people, fast check in, great location for me Breakfast a little pricey, this visit - hotel under renovation (understandable) and 3 bus loads of college kids
The nearness to shops and restaurants in the downtown Waco area is nice.
