The location on the Daytona oceanfront can't be beat. We have stayed here every spring break for the past 5 years. I must say, it has gone downhill. Everything is just looking shabby. Our room smelled moldy. The staff were incredibly rude on several occasions. we paid a premium price for Motel 6 service. We'll be looking for different accommodations next year.
The view and the facilities were worth it. Paying for parking, which was across the street... Very inconvenient.
Proximity to everything and friendly staff. Went down for the bike rally and was charged excessivly for parking. I was charged to park my truck, my trailer and even charged to park my bike at the hotel for a grand total of $204.00 for 4 days.
ocean view was nice the room was small no refrigerator, no microwave, room was dusty and we had to enter from north tower when we stayed at the south tower. we had to have our vehicle parked across the street instead of at the hotel I understand there was storm damage from the hurricane but they could of told us the pool and spa were closed before we booked if we had known this in advance we would of stayed elsewhere. VERY DISPLEASED
The hotel is amazing and at a perfect view right on the Beach. It was an overall terrible experience, I had 2 nights and it was pricy but I was willing to pay some extra money to enjoy my vacation, the first night the room next to me had a party with a music that was so loud and when I complained, they changed my room and I had to pack my stuff and walk to the other tower for another room at 1:30 am, there was no security and rooms were packed with at least 5 or 6 teenagers and they were so noisy and again no security or someone who can ask them to lower the noise at least at night time, 2nd night had a false fire alarm and had to evacuate the whole hotel and that took about 3 hours to resolve, got back to my room at 1 am, that might be a bad luck so that won't be the case for everyone but once again the hotel had no kind of security or manager that take care of the guests and provide a quiet, relaxing time for their guests vacation.
Staff was friendly and helpful to an extent, the hidden fees were your surprise when checking out. All the add on fees are terrible!
Loved the location to the beach and the staff was awesome The window in our room was not sealed all the way, we had a view of literally only the roof, and the pool seemed small for a hotwl of that size. It was always packed.
the rooms were spacious and nice. The check in lady was very helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay great. I would definitely recommend staying here nothing
Staff Room al
The hotel was nice, clean and the staff were all very helpful. The restaurants offered good food (especially Hyde Park) and the pool area was fun to hang out in. The beach access was excellent and we enjoyed the ease of leaving at night to go on walks down the beach front. We didn't stay in Daytona much as we travelled to St. Augustine and Coca Beach but the hotel is a good half way point for both places. The food and beverages are really expensive and if you just add them to your room expense instead of paying cash the cost will add up quickly! The rooms are clean but very basic and had a little wear and tear. No refrigerator in our room nor a trash can in the bathroom which is just strange not to have. The windows and walls are very thin so you hear all the noise from the Amusement park which is right next to the hotel if you stay on the south side of the hotel. Valet is always nice but for $22/night again can add up quickly but they were very fast in getting my car!
I liked that everything was close to hotel. There was garbage in stairwells and so many homeless people hanging around.
Nice beachfront locatiin, but not the newest hotel in ormond beach. Don't fall for the "breakfast included" line, this hotel serves the bare minimum of what you can call breakfast. Store muffins, yogurt, apples and orange juice/coffee. Most likely you will end up buying breakfast elaewhere.
First night got a poor, smokey room. asked for better, and got a very nice (Daytona area old motels are not perfect), clean room with oceanfront porch, 2 beds and hideabed, full kitchen, on a nice part of the beach, with a decent pool - not heated. I checked several other similar priced rooms on the strip, and this was our choice for $4 more than another possibility. We were off season, great rate, beach to ourselves pretty much. Close enough to Daytona stuff, but not the traffic and noise so much. Like most Daytona area hotels, there are dogs of a room, and decent ones. Suggest you look at the room first, or call and express your concern if booking online. Our first night in a "nonsmoking" room was one of the smokiest I have been in. Next night after looking first, got a great room. Nice manager - understanding and friendly.
Location on the beach was excellent. The fire pit was a nice feature. Staff consistently appeared distressed to have to be of assistance when asked for simple requests e.g. the room key stopped working. The room was small & the mattress was uncomfortable with no box spring.
This was our first time staying here and we were impressed. Super clean and very updated. It was a lot more than we were expecting.
I liked the cleanliness of the place, the ease of walking to the beach, and I liked the modernization of the rooms. They didn't leave towels, the wifi didn't work half of the time, and they claim to have breakfast. What breakfast?
Pool/Spa area was incredible. Super friendly staff, quick and easy check in. Hotel & Room were extremely clean. Bed very comfortable. Bathroom in room looked brand new and was amazing. That we had to leave.
The room furnishings were unique and beautiful. The room was exceptionally clean. The mattress was great. The location and view from the third floor were great. The television was first class. There are no elevators, so the upstairs rooms are definitely not for the average seniors. The breakfast left a lot to be desired. No smoking anywhere on the property.
Nick at the front desk was wonderful. He was very professional, friendly, informative and helpful. The Lotus is very lucky to have such a nice young man working for them.
Newly renovated and updated Only one sink for bathroom/ kitchen. A/C unit serviced only bed next to it and not bed the other side of wall separating the two beds.. No elevator to third floor. International receptionist caused language barriers to understanding concerns and wishes. Phone in room out of order. Shower did not drain properly.
Silence & price I don't know.

Great Location Handicapped parking was limited.
View Awkward to placement
I especially liked the friendliness of the staff and hotel location. no
Oceanfront great view. Little older outside rundown
Location. Right on the beach. Great kitchen with all the necessities. No. Great hotel.
The location, the price, and the room amenities. The cleanliness of the floors right outside the rooms, and the fact that the restaurant did not offer dinner.
Location Rooms are small and dated.
Best place to stay.
The ocean view was perfect. The room had a bad funky smell.
Excellent beach view and clean beach Elevator is not clean and it would be good if they provide free breakfast. TV is very small.
The hotel was on the beach with every room facing the beach. We were on a floor all by ourselves.
Very nice. Comfortable room.
The front desk staff, especially Ibbi, were exceptional: polite, easy to deal with, and extremely helpful. There was nothing that we did not expect with this hotel.
Location was great. Uncrowded and no driving on beach. Close to everything but felt secluded Very outdated. Rooms smelled
near to beach/restaurants quite renovation taking place very noisy and dusty and I have asthma!
LOCATION NICE OCEAN VIEWS. REASONABLE RATE PARKING WAS LIMITED.DUE TO EVENTS GOING ON.
Location, Beach access, and ammenities Beds and pillows need updated
The comfort, especially the size of the in-room kitchen, and the friendly staff, and the view. Pretty much everything. The TV had apparently been unplugged, and then re-plugged in to the various boxes in such a way that my husband had to unplug everything, and plug it in right, before we could watch TV. I'd suggest having a 'checkout check' done on the TVs.
The location on the beach was wonderful. Views were just what we had hoped for. Room was spacious and the kitchenette was convenient. The grounds are well kept. Hotel is dated. Room appeared clean, but did not smell clean. The room was very damp. The tile floor and carpet were so damp we had to dry our feet before putting on shoes.
Fantastic location, beautiful view, friendly staff, pool was very nice, easy access to the beach. Room was spacious with a fully equipped kitchenette. Excellent value! Parking was a bit tight, and we were lucky to find a spot later in the evening. But this is a minor inconvenience, and is easily overlooked when compared to all the great things the hotel has to offer.
Room was clean. Location was good for us. Lady at front desk was very friendly and helpful. The only complaint we had was on the morning of checkout we took part of our belongings to our vehicle and when we returned the room key had been deactivated. This was well before checkout time. We had to go to front desk and have the key reactivated before we could get the remainder of our belongings. A male of Indian descent at the front desk said he had deactivated the key and gave no explanation.
The accommodations were very nice, the separate bedroom with 2nd. tv was convenient. Kitchen was well stocked with lots of dishes, etc. The deck directly around the pool was too small, also the pool was too small for 2 buildings. There wasn't enough washers & dryers, I ended up taking my dirty clothes on my cruise so I could wash them on the ship.
