Very friendly staff. Everyone greeted us with a "good morning" in the morning, which is rare for a hotel these days. We paid about $70/night for our weekend stay. I've paid $50/night in the same neighborhood for a similar quality hotel. So while this hotel was fine, I would choose a cheaper one next time (or ask if they could give us a discount to $55/night or so).
Our reservations were not there when we arrived. We were 50 miles away when I called to check our reservations when I was told we did not have one and that they had been booked for days before. A nice way to find out! Will not use this again! No rooms available in the area.
Good location on major highway. Clerk not welcoming or friendly. Outside doors were supposed to be locked 24 hours per day, never locked. We never could get shower to work; no phone or clock in room. No mini refrigerator in room, even though my confirmation said there was. Coffee maker in room; however, no coffee for it. Asked desk clerk, said does not supply.
Nothing. Disgusting place. Dirty. Fleas. Other bugs. Smoke smell. Horrible. Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Buyer beware.
Nothing They didn't clean my room, they didn't bring me fresh towels, it was extremely dirty. I'm not sure what the workers were trying to fix but they started banging and making a lot of noise around 5 AM and didn't stop til about 1.
Good location and clean rooms Price is little too much
Super quiet, right off I-10, ajcent to a small mall with 8+ restraunts. Sheets were clean. Got the 79$ rate just a few hrs before arriving, so pretty cheap for two full beds. A/c was spot on for temp which was important to us. I chose this place bc it was close to our long day driving distance limit and because all the hotels nearby (150$) range were full. Great clean waffel house next door. Our room was grimy - tub, walls, carpet (i wore my flipflops). The faucet was loose, & toilet didnt flush without a couple tries. There were no xtras like a pool, or breakfast. It was older style with stairs at the ends and middle of the 4 long buildings. No elevators so the stairs could be a prob for less mobile folks.
Roof over our head's. Please do an inspection.
Clean room, comfortable beds, nice tv, nice bathroom, large parking space Door handle broken, toilet too long to flush, exhaust fan ineffective, trucks parked all over and attendant slow and not accomodating
the cost The room had a musty smell and you could hear a lot of noise from the other rooms.
Room was dirty smelling. Bathroom smelled of strong urine. Toilet was dirty as was the floor and baseboard. Light broken, ice machine broken. Yes free coffee but not coffee. More like brown water! We got in late after driving all day through terrible storms. We were too tired to move to another room. I didn't feel comfortable in the bed knowing how dirty the room was being a discount hotel should not mean amenities should be broken, dirty and lacking attention! I totally regret spending my money here!
I loved all of it. For the low price per night, I got an immaculate, clean room with clean bed, sheets, bathroom, towels, AC and flat screen TV, and even a coin-operated laundry room, so that you can take clean clothes onward. If you complain, don't stay here. Go and pay more somewhere else, please. For the price I paid, under $60, I have nothing to complain about. Complainers should go stay at 5-star hotels and break their backs paying for a higher rate.
Location is beside a bar so it got a bit rowdy at times.
Liked how close it is to Corry Station. Easy access for more time to spend with my spouse after I'm off work for the weekend. The bathroom was a kind of dirty you can't clean. The mirror was cracked, they only gave us a sheet and very thin "blanket" that was more like a decoration curtain they threw over the matress. The fitted sheet wouldn't stay on and was originally put on inside out.. Besides the floor sagging and us feeling like we could fall through at any time, the carpet felt dirty. Like years of spills gone ignored. The Ac unit worked and I'm thankful for that.. If you're planning on bringing your wife or kid here, don't. The area was close to base but very very sketchy. Many homeless approached us close to the hotel asking for money. One even had the audacity to ask me to go to an ATM with my wife to get 12.50 for him.. Some of the other patrons of the hotel were very loud and seemed to be dealing in some illegal matters (the smell of the smoke said enough) but the hotel did nothing. The staff was friendly enough. We will not be staying in this particular hotel again. AGAIN. Terrible area for a wife and kid or young family. I wouldn't ask my wife to stay there alone.
The beds were great and the breakfast bar was ok but the carpet and hotel as an overall needs updating real bad I think they stopped shampooing the carpet and vacuuming the hallways the wallpaper is coming down in some places of the hotel. For the ones saying nicely redone carpets you must work there One staff member that was rude and unprofessional that worked at night, all I can say is if the door is left open to get coffee where the breakfast bar is or even get a bowl of dried cereal "don't" she will call you out in front of other guests hollering which is totally unprofessional not to be in the breakfast bar area. The manager I talked to the next day assured me she would never do that again but as for me ever going back I would not. There staff member just lost them buisness along with 3 other couples I know when I told them about my experience there
I was double charged for my room. Called the hotel three times, they said call kayak. Called kayak they said call the hotel. Neither one fixed my issue. So my 100 dollar room went to 200. I will NEVER use kayak again or stay at this hotel. I was double charged at another hotel just last month and they took care of the issue within two days. This place refuses. I like the hotel and have stayed 5 times before to meet up with family while I am here training at NAS Pensacola. It was a good place. However, knowing they cannot resolve this means I will never go back. Please management, don't write a response either, just give me my money back.
Everything was wonderful. The staff was very kind. Bed was comfy. Breakfast was very tasty. That I couldn't have stayed longer in florida! Seriously though, there was nothing I disliked about my stay.
This place was $48/night so I wasn't expecting much - and I didn't get much. The room was clean but everything was showing its age with rust on the chrome lamps, the tissue box holder, the sink, faucet, etc. The shower curtain rail was sagging badly so I had to jam a facecloth in the ring to keep the curtain flush against the wall. But everything worked, tv, lights, clock and that's all I cared about. Breakfast was OK if you like cereal or waffles.
The location is good and it was easily accessible. The staff was friendly; they always said "hello" or "good morning" when we passed them. They are flexible; we needed to check in early and that wasn't a problem nor did they charge an extra fee. Also, the girl working the front desk had a difficult/demanding customer ahead of us and she handled him very professionally and kindly. That was very impressive, and immediately put me at ease knowing we were staying with very friendly people. Although our room was clean for the most part, the room and most of the lodge could use a little TLC. The interior is overdue for a paint job and some of the furniture needs replacing; our desk chair had huge stains and one of the drawers were broken (my dad tried to fix it even though we didn't break it, because it was bothering him and he's the handy type). The shower had a fairly large crack in the wall and it kind of needed a good scrubbing. The toilet in our room liked to run forever after flushing (but my dad fixed that too). None of this takes away from an overall pleasant stay, it's just things that I'd change to make it better.
