My boyfriend and I stayed here in April 2012. We stayed two nights while we explored Napa valley and it's wineries. The hotel location is excellent for the price. The hotel is clean, quiet, and offers a free warm breakfast to its guest. The price we payed for this hotel is very reasonable considering its location. So many hotels cost way more in and around Napa. I would recommend this hotel and would stay at the Comfort Inn in Calistoga next time I vacation in Napa Valley.
The Lodge at Calistoga should not be confused with the Lodge at Indian Springs, which is a beautiful resort with a lovely pool just across the street from the Clarion Property. The Clarion pool is tiny and if you want to use the hot tub you have to call the desk so they can turn on the breaker for you. We refused our room and the management charged us anyway. Not walking distance to town and no outside seating area - stay away from this one.
Hands down, best value out there. We passed by Calistoga and everything was soooo pricey! Luckily, we found The Lodge and we weren't disappointed. Comfortable rooms, loved the steam room and hot tub. Apparently they have mineral water in their pool & hot tub, felt goooood. Staff was extremely helpful & cheerful. Definitely will be back!
Kelly at the front desk was great. Other staff members were also helpful in planning activities for Napa
Cheapest in town yet did not feel it! This hotel was awesome. Girlfriend and I checked lots of places, but were tight on budget. Definitely hit it right on the head. Clean, clean hotel with free big breakfast which is a bonus. great staff, lots of knowledge.
I have visited Calistoga repeatedly and have stayed in most every hotel here in all types of price range. The Comfort Inn is actually the best value in the area. No pretentiousness, reasonable pricing in comparison to most others and lots of free amenities make it the perfect place to stay. The rooms are clean and actually way better than what you would find in other comfort inns. Staff is always so helpful. Will always come back here.
The Lodge in Calistoga offers simple comfortable rooms in a great location. Nothing fancy but well kept. It is nestled in a quite area with the exception of some traffic noise if your room is facing Lincoln Ave. Personally we felt our surroundings quite and peaceful. The pool and steam room are small but again it satisfied. Hotel offers robes and towels which helps on chillier days. A If you are on a budget and dont plan on eating out every night there is a grocery store down the street that offers cheeses salad bar sandwiches etc. that help support your budget plans. If you plan on eating out Calistoga offers numerous of delicious AND affordable restaurants. The Calistoga Inn Restaurant was delish! They have an outdoor seating area that is lit up by strands of light offers music nightly has outdoor heaters for chillier evenings. All the restaurants we tried were outstanding and feel like you cant miss no matter what you choose. Bottom line I was very impressed by how close...
Would come back for sure as its the best value. Combination of staff, service, and cleanliness plus mineral pool makes it no brainer.
We really enjoyed our stay. Staff extremely helpful, manager gave us detailed directions for a short cut down to San Francisco Airport. Bed was so comfortable and despite cool weather we used the refreshing outdoor mineral pools.
I like the hotel, it wasn't in the prime location but close enough. There were a few restaurants and shops nearby as well as spa retreats. I disliked a restaurant called 'hydro bar and grill,' the place was very unorganized and the service was terrible. I ordered a turkey burger but received a regular hamburger. My boyfriend ordered a well done hamburger and got a red uncooked one. I advise, do not go there ever!!!
My family loved staying at the Lodge. It was totally family friendly. My kids enjoyed the pool area and the waffles in the morning. My grandparents live in Calistoga and they had recommended this hotel. We were very happy with this stay. We would definitely stay here again.
Great place. awesome breakfast. staff was super helpful. The room was a lot better than any other comfort inn and the place was $50 cheaper than anything else around. Love the green mineral pool, definitely different!
Clean and modern. Staff tried very hard to be friendly. Totally overpriced. My breakfast there was not good. They got the order all wrong. Also had some really bad shrimp for lunch one day.
The staff was extraordinary in terms of personality, knowledge, working with the guest....
Location and breakfast! Hours of the pool/hot tub could be more accommodating : )
Very pleasantly surprised! Very very well maintained. Great quiet location with beautiful views from the pool!! Immediate neighborhood is run down.
The quiet was nice, the staff friendly and helpful, the fireplace next to the food was a welcome especially in the morning fog, and the snacks were yummy.
The breakfast was great! The bathtub was perfect, and the spa was phenomena. The room was small.
Proximity to downtown, spa services, friendly staff. If you are looking for super high class spa and hotel, this probably isn't for you. But, if you want a cozy getaway that is affordable and has some nice amenities, you will enjoy it.
Convenience and coziness There were no long mirrors
Large rooms that were very clean and had updated bathrooms. Free breakfast was great and hotel was a short walk to town. The room had a mini fridge and microwave- ours had a balcony which was nice to sit out in the sun. NA
Great service and breakfast buffet. Very clean.
The room, the amenities, and the staff were spectacular. I felt like I was staying in an enchanted forest. The grounds were georgeous.
Location is amazing. It's a beautiful setting. Used to be much more charming. The A/C didn't work in the room. The hotel was at capacity so they couldn't move me to another room. Did bring me a fan, a very dirty fan. They left dirty linens outside the event center which was outside the area of 14-ish rooms where i was staying. Very unappealing.
The grounds and location were good.
Location was excellent. The rooms were above average and parking was ample when we were there Reception service was rude and inefficient. While entering into the check-in desk front desk staff did not properly greet guests. Front desk service was rude and was more fitting of a motel 6.
Our room looked right out onto the vineyard and had a beautiful view. Everything was really comfortable and welcoming, from the bottle of wine waiting for us and free waters in the fridge, to the cozy fireplace, and delicious chocolates they left each night. The bed was very comfortable and room was spacious. We really enjoyed the Friday and Saturday night wine tastings and met many of the other guests staying at the hotel. The breakfast was delicious each day and provided yet another opportunity to mingle with the other guests. Everyone staying here was happy and friendly! We also enjoyed walking around the beautiful grounds. I can imagine that the rooms not directly facing the vineyard, toward the front of the property, could be a little bit dark due to the mature tall trees around the property.
peaceful, calming, great location, an enchanted forest no
Airconditioning was welcome as it was very hot. Complimentary bottle of wine was good. The room was spacious and comfortable and very clean. Wifi worked well. Noise of traffic nearby as it is just off the A29.
big comfortable rooms Found blood on a bed sheet and was located near the noisy road
