Everything was as advertised. Great location and friendly staff.
Get longer curtains.
The location was nice for what I needed and the cleaning staff delivered anything we asked for quickly and were very friendly. The manager has absolutely no customer service skills. I was charged an extra night that I did not use and she REFUSED to speak to me about the charge. I understand if I did something wrong but at least have the customer appreciation to talk to me. There was a clog in our shower from hair. Another group's shower knob freely spun so they were unable to change the temperature of their showers. I won't stay at a Ramada Inn again.
The bed was comfortable, check in was easy and it was accessible to shops. The toilet was a bit clogged.
Free breakfast, nice staff. The surrounding rooms were loud. There was no pool or gym. Cleaning wasn't done everyday.
Clean Quiet Easy check in and out No ice machine on each floor. It was hidden in a weird looking garage next to the lobby. Uncomfortable towels Limited breakfast items, should be more than just cheap bread, frozen waffles and 2 kinds of cereals The hallway smells bad There are exactly one table and 2 chairs in the office for breakfast. I didnt have anywhere to sit down. Creepy looking staff in the morning.
The rooms were nice. The food in the restuarant was very good. The view of the marina was lovely. The staff was courtesy and helpful. The only downside is that the pool, although heated, was outside and it was not quite warm enough to utilize. The fitness facility was stocked with good equipment. I would recommend staying here.
If you have a boat, this is the perfect place to stay. People are nice. Service was great. Location is a bit out of the way to cruise around LA, but great if you are just staying around Long Beach.
WE STAYED THERE THE EVENING BEFORE A CRUISE AND LOVED IT...IT WAS BEAUTIFUL...SERVICE WAS GREAT AND WE LEFT OUR CAR THERE UNTIL WE ARRIVED AND WERE PICKED UP BY THE HOTEL VAN. IT REALLY WAS A NICE START TO A GREAT VACATION.
In short, the hotel presents itself as an upper scale water front stay, but is in fact worn down and dirty. The rooms and buildings are showing their age, and have TERRIBLE up keep. Wost of all is the completely dishonest and apathetic staff. The front desk manager tried to at first give me a completely different room than what I had reserved and pre-paid for, then tried to give me a sub standard room. When told that I wanted the room I paid for, I was told that despite being 30 minutes past check in time, my room wasnt ready. I came back later in the evening and got a room of the type I had reserved. It was in poor repair, with exposed wires and loose electrical outlet covers, dirty bathroom, and stank of cigarette smoke despite being a non-smoking room. The next morning there was NO WATER. When I called to ask what was going on, I was essentially told 'tough luck'. I will spare you the saga of trying to deal with management and corporate. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!
We spent 4 nights at the Doubletree before going on a Panama Cruise and we enjoyed our stay very much. The hotel is located in a quiet area but close walking to restaurants, etc. The surroundings are lovely and also it's very convenient to the docks for people going on a cruise. Another bonus is that the hotel supplies transporation to the docks when you ready to board the ship. All in all staying at the Doubletree was a very pleasant experience and my husband and I would highly recommend it.
We had a very nice 1 night stay at the Double Tree in San Pedro, CA. We ate in the resturant and the food was quite tasty. It was spacious, very clean and comfortable. The front desk people were very helpful and got the room ready for us before the designated check in time, as we arrived early. I loved their cookies! 4 thumbs up out of 5!!!
Room not ready an arrival. Room not cleaned the next day until after several phone calls. Noisy party on balcony next door not quieted until after phone call. Abt 130 AM.
I actually stayed at the wrong place. Our cruise was leaving from Long beach instead of San Pedro, Ca. The hotel provided transportation to Long Beach. which is not their standard procedure. We enjoyed our stay at a very lovely place.
This hotel does not transport to Carnival Cruise lines terminal in Long Beach. I was misinformed when I called Doubletree San Pedro and asked about shuttle transportation. I was told that they provided it as a complementary service but failed to tell me that this did not include Carnival Cruise Lines (which I was sailing on!) I found the service efficient but not friendly. The dining room staff was very friendly and quick to resolve a problem I had with their white rice (which was terrible!). They resolved this matter quickly. The room was comfortable but the TV needed replacing as it had a terrible picture. It's a clean and safe location but not a 5 star hotel.
We took the Super Shuttle from LAX. First stop was another hotel. We were in awe of the people getting out at this stop because the hotel was so 'rich' looking. The first stop seemed so 'tight' because the hotel was embedded in the city. We didn't know what to expect at Doubletree. Next stop was the Doubletree San Pedro. Oh my gosh, we felt so lucky! Everything was perfect. The room was clean and well appointed. The balcony was roomy and refreshing. The weather was fabulous. The hotel shuttle took up to a restaurant nearby and picked us up. The morning of our cruise, we have a wonderful buffet breakfast. I would recommend this place just because of the beautiful views. Looking out at the marina was breathtaking plus we saw our cruise ship arrive the next morning! Just try to get a room with a balcony.
Hotel was nice with a good restaurant. Fun place to walk around with a park close by. Great shuttle to cruise line.
As I sit in my run down room with no hot water for the second day in a row, I feel the need to warn any potential guests of this facility to not be swayed by the great views of the marina. That's really the only redeeming factor for this poor excuse for a Hilton property. The furniture in the rooms is shabby , dirty and in need of replacement. I do not have a desk chair, but a chair from the banquet facility. No hot water for two days and a staff that could give a flip. I stayed T this hotel last month and I had no airconditioning. I will not be coming back.
The perfect balance between a nicely remodeled clean, safe and affordable room. The staff was very friendly and accommodating the location is perfect if you were planning on staying in the Anaheim or LA area, but don't want to deal with the normal trouble associated with LA hotels. Plenty of parking for trucks and trailers. This is the hotel base of operations for the local refinery workers, and things can get a little rowdy at night. The staff was nice enough to put me in one of the front rooms, which was much quieter on Night two.
The staff was very friendly and pleasant. The hotel was very clean. No elevators.
Great breakfast. Again, it is no longer a Quality Inn. This made for a lot of driving around looking for the Quality Inn that is now a Clarion.
By the appearance, it looks very clean and neat. We found bed bugs a few hours after we arrived and left immediately. Not worth $91
Your room keys are very poor, mine worked only after trying for several minutes, the secound day they would not work at all !!!!
Very very clean I don't have any complaints about this place
helpful staff, free wireless internet and comfortable rooms includuing a fridge check-in could have been quicker
The room I stayed in was run down. The swamp cooler didn't work, the sink was plugged and the carpet was stained and worn out.
the photos of the rooms show the ' preferred 'rooms, not those which you stay in when booking through the travel website. Please ensure that you are staying in the 'Tower Rooms ' when you book. The continental Breakfast was no more than donuts and cold cereal. The closest restraunt is a 'COCO'S' for breakfast, a ten minute drive south on the Pacific Coast hiway. As well, the pool chairs were all broken, only one chair was usable.
The outside of the hotel was run down, pot holes in the parking area etc. The inside was worse, tile chipping in the bathroom, the 'kitchenette' if you can call it that, looked awful, outdated and gross. The beds had OLD mattresses and the bedding was very outdated. My family didnt want to even use the shower that had a window in it, and the room looked like it had leaked, there was a slug on the wall. The ice machine didnt even work! I took several pics, if you want to see them. This survey only let me post 2.
The room was extremely small with hard mattresses that they said were queens but sure seemed like doubles. The pool was overfilled with chlorine every time my kids went to swim. Internet was free but so slow nothing wanted to load. I was in a non smoking room with my kids but the room right in front of us had like 2 or 3 adults and like 3-5 little kids and they would keep their door open and they smoked like chimneys. The smell filled the front area even with the wind and entered our room when we had to open the door. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Our Tv wasn't working and someone came immediately to fix it. During breakfast several staff wished me a happy mothers day and told us about their kids. if i was to recommend this hotel it would be for the great service these people gave NOT for the rooms.
The Days Inn Torrance/Redondo Beach is a safe harbor in the storm of life.
I had a decent room, very clean and the staff was very friendly, parking was a problem due to the hotel been booked solid for a weeding, other than that I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
The staff at this hotel was very nice and accomodating, however, the hotel itself is rather rundown and sad. It rained the night I arrived, and when I woke up in the morning water was running down the wall in my room.
When we arive the man who helps us was very frendly to help. He give use information where we can go next day. Beaches are nice and good to reach by car.
I had friendly good service, real good breakfasts and was located in what appeared to be a good neighborhood.
My daughter and I stayed there 9 days. The pool was out of commission for 5 days. The a/c was noisy and the room needed alot of repairs. The only reason we stayed, was we were gone most of the time. Forget about a continental breakfast. Donuts, juice, coffee and cold cereal mostly. No place to sit more than 4 people and no trays to take anything back to the room.
WE HAVE STAYED AT SEVERAL HOTEL LOCATIONS, AND I KNOW THE 'DAYS INN' STANDARDS ARE NOT MET AT THIS HOTEL. WE WERE BOOKED INTO A VERY SMALL ROOM, WHERE THE DOOR HIT THE BED AND WOULDN'T OPEN ALL THE WAY. THE ROOM WAS INSIDE A CORRIDOR AND IT FELT LIKE WE WERE SENT INTO A JAIL CELL. ALTHOUGH THE ROOM LOOKED PRESENTABLE, WE STILL PURCHASED OUR OWN CLEANING PRODUCTS AND CLEANED THE BATH TUB, AS IT HAD MOLD ON THE NON SKID PAD AND DISINFECTED THE ROOM. WE SHORTENED OUR STAY BY ONE DAY,
its ok i guess the bed just needs to be changed its to old and the sink needs to be fixed because the water over flows but its a safe place to stay. fair price
