Charming old house. Spotless rooms, well appointed with antiques.
NO AIR CONDITIONING... had to open windows to sleep (too hot) and when windows opened, I felt not as secure as I wanted to feel. Hard sleeping in the heat with only a fan to circulate the air. Sink was not draining.
The motel was old and did not have any air conditioning. Although they did have a ceiling fan on and a portable fan, the room was still very warm. The plumbing in the shower was plugged up. We were lucky the motel was not full. The clerk placed us in another room with the same accomodations because there was no one to call at that time to fix the drain. The area was pretty quiet and the motel clerk was very nice.
Great room. Friendly staff
The bed was uncomfortable. Whenever I got out it made a sound like a spring was giving way. The room was tiny with just enough room to walk around the bed. You had to close the bathroom door to have enough room to sit on the toilet.
We chose this hotel as it was midway to our destination and it was dog friendly. It was clean, the grounds were well kept and the pool was really nice. It has a fenced in small yard for dogs to get some exercise in a safe place. We appreciated that. Since we had our pup with us we tried to find a place to dine that accepted pets. We found a place called 'J's on the Corner' that had great burgers and a nice patio. In addition there is a great restaurant for breakfast directly acrossed the street called Hayes Street Cafe. The town of Bridgeport was really a charming little town and I'm glad we stopped and spent some time there.
Great hotel! Quaint and adorable. Wonderful view. Definitely would visit again!
The room was about 50 yards away from the 395 High Way so traffic noise was intolerable. The room was far too small to accommodate two queen size beds and space for anything was a problem. It is situated way out of town so if you require anything you ha
