Really clean, convenient, comfortable and quaint hotel walking distance to Subway, Jack in The Box, Walgreens, and several other restaurants. Staff was very friendly and the hotel was well kept. The kids had a great time at the pool which was indoor freeing us from the need of sunscreen.
Very noisy & slow elevator. Toilet seat not secure in the room or even in the lobby. Breakfast removed and/or empty before it was time to be over. Staff at front desk did nothing to get bathroom in room repaired during our six day stay. Told to try other floors and find a working ice machine - tried 3 floors before finding a working unit. Unsafe parking area - false sense of security with a gate to go in - yet public can drive in from a side entrance.

Easy check in, reserved parking, free breakfast. I was charged $25 extra upon check in I initially thought it may have just been a charge from the hotel for tax that may have not been included in the final kayak bill. But after reading my kayak confirmation and reading that NO EXTRA FEES OR CHARGES WILL BE ADDED UPON CHECK IN, I contacted the front desk and was told they couldn't do anything about it it was basically KAYAKS fault for sending them the wrong room rate and I would have to take that up with kayak. So I contacted kayak and was told that the hotel gave me the wrong information. Kayak sends the same conformation letter that I received and my room rate should not have been changed. They asked if they could put me on hold so that they can contact the hotel and get it straighten out. They returned rather quickly and said I should be receiving my refund and receipt from the hotel within a few days. So other than the hotel trying to get a few extra bucks from me. I really appreciate kayak and their quick professional manner in resolving the issue.
The staff here is so friendly, and will go out of their way to ensure your stay is top notch. They provided us with a list of restaurants in the area, and what their favorites were, and answered all my questions. Room set up was nice too, when my daughter went to sleep, I went into the separate sitting area where there is a second t.v. So I didn't wake her up. Good value for what you get and close to everything in Downtown. The only downside to this Hotel is there is no pool or spa. We had to go to the Hampton Inn up the freeway. But it was zero hassle from the staff there to use their pool area.
It was clean. We were given a room on the 5th floor unfortunately it happened to be right under the air conditioner compressor that's on the roof! There was not one moment of silence in that room it sounded like there was a large fan blowing in the room at all times! I called downstairs to make a complaint and they told us they were completely sold out and could not change rooms. So they put our name on the list to see if we could change rooms the next day. We were going to be out all day and we didn't want to bother waiting to move all of our stuff. Besides, I would feel bad giving that bad room to anyone else and getting stuck with it. My advise, DO NOT STAY IN ROOM 524!! Worst stay ever!
Housekeeping staff is very courteous and did a good job cleaning my room. The in house service for food was really good as well. There was hardly ever front desk staff so when I checked out there was no one present to give the room key to. A staff member happened to walk by and I asked and they just brushed me off and said I could leave the key on the desk. Also when I was checking in the front desk clerk was not too friendly.
